Great quality and easy to use!
I make soap for my small business Nevermore Candle House and LOVE this soap base! I didn’t want to use cold process soap because I didn’t want lye in the house with my small kids and this soap base was an amazing and safe alternative! It’s so easy to melt down and mix with fragrance and mica powder. The base holds fragrance so well and smells good even without added fragrance! It lathers well and moisturizes skin well and looks so gorgeous when poured into my soap molds. It doesn’t seem to sweat after time and has been very durable and useful. Love this base!

Melts great, smells odd
Started making my own soap at home and this shea butter base was the first melt & pour base I've purchased. I had no problems melting the soap- I cut into 1" cubes and placed it in a Pyrex measuring cup in a saucepan of a few inches of water. Took about 30 min of stirring occasionally for everything to melt but it was smooth and I had no issues. Unfortunately I did notice the odor of the base- its a nutty/plastic smell that I could not mask with essential oils. I added way more than my recipes called for and still can smell the underlying base soap stronger than the scents I added. It took color fairly well, Bentonite clay not so much. I added lavender and rose petals to a few bars and those spread nicely throughout the soap. Overall, I will be trying a different base and hoping there is no smell.

Excellent Quality for Soap Making
I’ve been using this glycerin for about three years to make my soaps, and it is excellent quality. I’ve recommended it many times to my students and continue to recommend it. It produces great lather and doesn’t require many additives. Shipping from this seller is always on time. I highly recommend it.
