excellent sunscreen, seems hard to improve on for day-to-day outdoor activity
Excellent sunscreen. Good smooth texture, easy to apply yet thick enough so you sense it will stay on for a while; it is white but takes only a little bit of rubbing in to avoid ghost-face; good set of safe ingredients (none of the oxy- garbage). Two caveats are: (i) We haven't tried it in harsh sun or surf yet; not sure of efficacy under those conditions (guess I'll, uh, update in due course) but the texture is a good sign. (ii) This is on the expensive side, compared to some other good sunscreens, like TruKid Sunny Days Daily SPF30, which we've mainly used in recent years and like a lot. (On the other hand, it's less expensive than some other good sunscreens that seem to be "trending" of late.)I've been a sunscreen junkie for nearly 20 years, we tried probably 15 or more of the EWG higher-rated varieties. I used e.g. the old BurnOut sunscreens (Kids; Eco-Sensitive), California Baby, Loving Naturals SPF30, Elemental Herbs SPF30, TruKid (Sunny Days; Sport), various others. Our favorite for a while, in everyday use, was Burnout Eco-Sensitive, but it was too light for surf/sports, dissolved too easily; then they changed the formula (bad!). In the past couple of years we have used TruKid products. Well, it seems to me this BurnOut SPF30 Natural makes amends for how they reportedly wrecked their Eco-Sensitive product, and compares very favorably with any of those other sunscreens we've tried. (To start with, I'd probably prefer it to the old BurnOut Kids, which was thicker than Eco-Sensitive but also was on the light side.) It's very good in every way I can see -- texture, color, (lack of) scent, except only that I have yet to see how it does in summer and splashy/sweaty conditions. This product is not as thick as TruKid, which is good; that's the one drawback of TruKid for us.I happened to order at the same as a currently "trending" and more expensive sunscreen called TotLogic Safe Sunscreen SPF 30, and there is virtually no difference in texture (BurnOut is a little bit thicker) or color and (lack of) scent, and the ingredients are quite similar (down to cetyl dimethicone along with a bunch of plant-sounding stuff and so on). TotLogic may be a tiny bit better in the non-pallor department, for darker-toned complexions. But if you are looking at e.g. the TotLogic product, definitely consider this Burnout one as a possible alternative. We've now used this sunscreen when doing everyday outdoor stuff for about 4 weeks and it's been very good so far. (No allergic reaction at all, by the way, but my family's not too sensitive in that regard.) I'm not sure this product beats our trusted TruKid Sunny Days Daily SPF30 in surf-&-sport efficacy (though it is better in ease of application), and it's not cheap. But I can't see how I'd ask to improve materially on this product, for everyday use.

Worked great - same as the BurnOut Kids
We've used BurnOut Kids for both kids and adults in the family with our first order being in 2012, so 6+yrs. :) Always seems to protect as intended and no irritation/rash/reaction at least for my family and extended family using it on both face and body. One big factor for us is seeing BurnOut products we are interested consistently rate well/safe on the EWG website. For an outdoors trip we recently took, I wanted to try something a bit more affordable from BurnOut, mainly for body usage since we trust the Kids one on the face. Happy to say protection again seemed as good as the Kids version and no bad interaction to report. While it might have a few more 2's on the EWG website versus the Kids version, I think it's a good compromise in a higher volume tube.

Its not as good as the original Burnout Sun
So I've been using the original Burnout Sun for about 10 years. I love it. Its my daily driver. This new formulation, i don't like so much. Its a bit more pasty, less easy to spread and leaves more white cast than the original ever did. The only reason I ordered this product is because the original is out of stock. My mistake was buying four tubes, which I'm now stuck with. The sun protection is awesome. Its not that easy to spread.

Used it in the Dominican Republic for 8 days - did not get burned!
I was leaving soon for a trip to the Dominican Republic with my three children and I did not want us to get burned. I have blond hair, fair skin and I am susceptible to burning. I researched all sunscreens available on the market. I wanted to avoid using ingredients that can possibly cause cancer. I wanted a natural, zinc based sunscreen, at a reasonable price. Amazon to the rescue, as usual. Burn Out kept me burn free for 8 days. It’s pretty lightweight for a zinc sunscreen. It covers your skin and that’s what I want it to do. I want to block out UVA and UVB rays, not get burnt, not receive more damage to my skin or get skin cancer. All you have to do is rub it in really well and it gets absorbed nicely into your skin. Would buy again from this seller.

WATERPROOF
Utilized over a 6 day vacation in Punta Cana and there is still plenty left. Great quality, and non-toxic. It does leave white streaks if you go into the water, but note that it is WATERPROOF. I really do not care about white streaks as long as my skin is protected. Highly recommend.

Good product, but NOT for face.
It does have a good consistency and pleasant smell, but I continue to have issues with this product stinging my eyes when I apply it to areas on my face. I do not have similar issues with other products--both physical and chemical block. I can only recommend this product for body application.
