Looks aren't deceiving all the time

Gold color didn’t last
within 2 weeks the 2 necklaces I got are completely brown now and turned both my sons necks black. I have order stainless steel necklaces before and have never seen them do anything like this.

Pendant fell off right away
The necklace was perfect for my 13 year old son. His hockey number is 24. However, after just a couple times wearing it, the pendant already fell off and is lost. He spent his own money on it, so he is very upset.
