What a difference!
Holy cow is this an upgrade. Huge difference in a great way. the handle is set back a little farther. It is way more comfortable if you have longer fingers. It doesn't point the pistol farther down or up which was a concern originally. Aiming feels the exact same as before. I was half expecting some flimsy squishy rubber but that is not the case, it is very solid. This feels like an even nicer firearm now. The inside is fitted with a kind of guide rail that holds everything tight. This is an absolute must-have if you are still using the original handle. Shipping took 3 weeks for some reason to LA but so very worth the wait! Extremely pleased with this Rubber handle. Its nicer quality than the stock Ruger one. Stop waiting and buy this.

Feels great, looks great, absorbs recoil great
Hogue rubber grips are always great. I use them on Glock 43, ARs, sp101 and anything else I get aftermarket grips for SUPER comfortable. Larger than the og grips. In my opinion, the 3โ sp101 looks a little unbalanced with the Ruger grips. The hogue make it look SO good. This is my third set for my third sp101. Ruger even puts these on the new gp100s because they are perfection.

Good but
Great and very comfortable, but it does make the footprint larger. Trade off.

Extremely easy to install, fits well, feels good
I have had a 2" .357 SP101 for about 10 years now, and like it a lot. The only gripe I've ever had is the sting in the palm of my hand when firing .357 rounds. It has always caused the "web" of my hand between my thumb and index finger to get sore. I figured that's just the way it is with a small-framed powerhouse, until I got an LCR. It is much easier on my hands (though kicks up a lot more). I believe this is due to the Hogue grip on the LCR, which is why I bought this one for my 101. I have not actually shot it to confirm the impact to my hand is reduced, but I am very pleased with the fit, the ease of installation, and the price. The grip also feels better in my hand, because I really like grips with the individual finger notches. This grip is definitely bigger than stock, which may hurt pocket carry. It did not impact my ability to use a speedloader. Though you can't seat it all the way flush to the cylinder. But I can't do that with the stock grip either, and it is no worse now. Update: I have shot some magnums with this grip, and I still get that impact in the "web" of my hand. It's hard to say if it is reduced, but it's definitely still there. That said, I still prefer it to the semi-rigid stock grips.

Great grips for SP101
I recently purchased an SP101 2.25" and was having trouble with getting a proper grasp. I'm about 5'10", my fingers are relatively long and thin, so with a good tight grasp on the stock grip the trigger was in the middle of my second phalange. My pinky always ended up dangling off the end of the grip even though my hands are not particularly wide. Managing recoil with 38 HP 110gr wasn't terrible, but 357s of any kind were hand-numbing and difficult to get back on target. I saw similar complaints online, so I decided a grip replacement was in order. Installing this grip only took a few minutes, including removing the old one. The adapter and pin went on the frame easily. It was a little tight to slide up the frame, took a little wiggling to get the adapter lined up in the grooves, and the rubber wanted to catch on the hinge pin tab so I had to walk it over. All-in-all, maybe five minutes. The grip mates nicely to the frame, feels tight whereas the stock grip seemed a little wiggly by comparison. Looking at it you'd think it could just as easily be stock unless you already knew. After taking it out shooting a few times, I can say the Hogue grip makes a world of difference, and is a fantastic value for the price. It properly fills my hand, my trigger finger ends up hitting the trigger on the last phalange correctly, I can get a full grip with my pinky, my hand aligns better so the hammer is easier to pull back for SA, DA trigger pull is steadier, recoil is much easier to control with hot 357 loads and doesn't leave my hand buzzing. Overall my range experience (as much range as you get with a snub nose) has improved significantly since upgrading with this grip. This may as well be considered a necessity for the SP101, unless you have very small hands in which case the stock grip may work for you.

great fit for 5 shot .357 SP 101
I wanted to try out a new grip for my Ruger SP 101, 5 shot, .357 with 2.25" barrel. I read some reviews and decided o go for it, considering for just under $20 i figured if I didn't like it I wasn't out too much. When I took it out of the package I was surprised at how hard it was. I thought it would be much softer and more tacky, which I was a little worried about. I am pleased with the firmness of the rubber, I find it to be just sticky enough and not too much so it's not grabby on my t-shirt. I like how it feels in my hand, however the other reviews stating the narrowness of the grip especially at the bottom are spot on. I don't have a problem with this, however. I have normal sized palms but very long fingers, I would consider my hands to be on the larger side. I get a great grip around the entire handle and I love the finger grooves, especially for the pinky. I am giving the grip 4 stars for now because I haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet. I will update the review later on (If I can figure out how...) after I take it to the range.

Fantastic upgrade to stock SP101 grip: better grip, less recoil, support for pinky!
The Hogue Rubber Grip Ruger SP101 Rubber Monogrip is an outstanding "upgrade" for the stock grip on the Ruger SP101 revolver. Although not as aesthetically pleasing as the stock grips with their wooden inlays, the Hogue rubber grip provides a longer grip with added space for the pinky finger, as well as finger grooves for enhanced grip. It is also shaped to fill in the space behind the trigger guard to prevent it from slamming against the middle finger when shooting high recoil .357 magnum loads. Overall fatness of the grip is not substantially larger than the stock grips, so if you like the small stock grip for small hands, you'll probably find this grip small enough to manage as well; yet at the same time, shooters with larger hands will find this to be a noticeable upgrade because of the additional length. The grip attaches very securely and easily to the revolver, with no gaps, wiggle, or slop in the fit. The pebble pattern rubbery texture allows for a very comfortable, confident grip on the weapon, and also seems to reduce felt recoil a little. The only downside here, as other reviewers have noted, is that the texture is more likely to snag and "print" through clothing if you're carrying a snubbie SP101 for concealed carry. For that purpose, you would be better served with the NYLON version of this grip, though it won't be as comfortable as the rubber version. My SP101 has the 4.2" barrel and is used as a trail gun, not for concealed carry, so the rubber grip was an obviously preferable choice in my case. When ordering this grip, be very careful to read the product heading carefully. As of March 10, 2015 (the date of this review), there was still a listing that incorrectly read "Hogue Rubber Grip Ruger SP101 Nylon Rubber Grip" and if you ordered it, you would receive the nylon, NOT the rubber version. If you're looking for the rubber version, make sure the listing only says "rubber" and does not contain the word "nylon." This is the second best upgrade I've made to my Ruger SP101 revolver. The best upgrade was a Wolf spring kit to lighten the trigger pull, which made a huge difference in my wife's ability to shoot accurately in double action (and improved her accuracy in single action as well). Very highly recommended! (I've included a photo to help illustrate the size and shape difference between the stock grip and the Hogue rubber grip.)

Inexpensive upgrade to your SP101
Perfect fit after some finagling with attaching the stirrup and channeling into the grip. Once secured with the screw in the butt of the grip, the fit was perfect. So much better than the stock Ruger SP101 grip!

Very nice grip for a great price.
I chose this grip with no reference as to its actual size. I am a male with medium size hands. When I received the grip I was slightly disappointed that it was smaller than expected. However, it is a big improvement over the SP101 OEM grip. It does provide a larger area for my fingers (pinky no longer hangs off the bottom), a thicker grippier palm and I lke the finger divots. The grip also fits my SP101 like a glove, 'looks like it came this way from the Ruger factory. Took me less than five minutes to install.
