Dewalt DPG62-C Interceptor Protective Safety Earmuff Yellow/Black, Adult

I have had Dewalt hearing protection muffs for a decade. I teach construction classes and buy a lot of different brands for the students but always wear Dewalt ones myself. This Interceptor model is the best! For women, they adjust well to a smaller head size and block sound well. I'll admit I like the yellow color so that I can spot mine on the jobsite or in the shop. The headband slides down so I can store them in a smaller space but I 3D print a wall mount for mine so I like that I can slide the muffs down to hang them.

I use these noise canceling headphones while I’m mowing, and they do a solid job. The lawnmower is loud, but these help drown out enough of the noise that I feel like my hearing is protected. I can still hear a bit, but it’s muffled in a way that makes mowing more comfortable. That said, they’re definitely not one size fits all. They feel tight on my head, and by the time I’m done mowing, my ears are sore from how the band pulls up as it tries to wrap around. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’ve got a bigger head or plan to wear them for a while. Despite that, they get the job done. The sound protection is good, the build feels sturdy, and I’d still recommend them to anyone needing basic hearing protection with a bit of extra noise control.

Good Noise Cancelling. I wear these when I’m using battery operated equipment (mostly a leaf blower) which can be quite loud. They feel like good ear protection.

First of all, I’m a huge Dewalt fan. Everything Dewalt. I also have a mowing business and thought I’d do these. They are ok, but not near as good as 3M. They are fine for medium equipment noise, but not for loud mowers.

I have been using these for a couple months but only for yard work when running weedeaters, lawn mowers and chain saws. I do not use them for shooting guns and would not recommend them for that. However, they work very well for yard work and are comfortable to wear. I find myself forgetting that they are on. An added bonus is they protect the top of my head when I bump into branches or low doorways. I'm 6'4" and that is a constant battle!! LOL Overall, recommend these for sure.
