if the car does not start first make sure the device is fully charged there are four lights which will tell you if it is charged make sure the car Key is in the off position then connect the red to the positive terminal to the battery and the black to the neutral then go back into the car turn the key to the on position that should do the trick then disconnect the red terminal first and you were all set to go and don’t forget to recharge the device after being used if it shows a low voltage it will work on Three lights as well OK this information helps you out any further questions you can text Amazon and I will check back from Mike
