OASE BioPress UVC 1600 Pond Filter

This filter is a real time saver. Instead of having to take a filter apart and rinse all those nasty smelly foam pads you simply push and pull on a lever that compresses all that junk out of the pads. Watch the discharge till water runs clear then compress them again to remove more. You will see tons of black water and junk coming out.

I have it for a short time, but it cleared my muddy looking pond to a clear one. Time will tell howgood it is.

I love this filter, I can clean it in 5 minutes, where my previous required disassembly and was always a mess. Keeps the water crystal clear!

The previous filter I had kept the pond crystal clear for a dozen years (with UV replacement) but I broke it. Ran this filter past the return date (ran for 6 weeks) with no improvement in water clarity. Close examination of filter showed a considerable amount of water able to bypass the filter so as the filter became dirty, water would flow around it. Tried various mods to get it to work and finally gave up and purchased another filter. Replacement filter took one week to return the water to crystal clear.I have a 900 gallon pond with a dozen fish in it so I wouldn't think this would overload the filter's ability to clean the water. My pump is a 1600 GPH which shouldn't exceed the flow of the filter.

So far it is working great! Once I hooked it up and got it running, my pond cleared up in 2 or 3 days. My previous filter leaked around the edges but this one hasn't leaked so far and it's been running non-stop for about a month.

I just installed this filter 3 days ago.I notes that the clamps are not very good but was hoping for the best not so I woke up this Moring to find the pond almost empty only a bout 4 in. of water . 3 of the claps had popped open.
