This product is great for shaving your head ! I’ve used it numerous times and it’s a standby for my shaving regimen. Head Shaving is something of an art if one wants to have a smooth , bump- free result . For me , I apply this product ( only a 2-4 drops will do ) on my hands when wet , rub them together, then gently apply all over my head , wait about 30 seconds, apply my favorite shaving cream or gel , then shave with a new razor . The end result is a smooth , irritation- free scalp , that has a cool feel all day long . A+

This is really cool stuff! Two or 3 drops and I'm off to a great shave. I'm a newbie at using a double-edged razor and this shave oil makes for incredibly smooth and non-irritating shaves. Not redness or nicks even when covering the same area more than once. I also use a shaving lather but I'm convinced you could probably get a good shave using just this oil and some warm water. It's that good, and it works with any razor. My girlfriend also uses it when shaving her legs and says it keep her from irritating or cutting her shins and other prone spots. Little bit goes a long way, so use sparingly. Highly recommend.

Love the Somersets Shave Oils and am still delighted how a handful of drops can perform better than a lather of shaving cream however I think I will switch back to the regular formulation after this bottle runs out as the sensitive version seems to be a bit thinner to me.

Absolutely love this product. I originally bought for product for travel because I didn't want to lug around a can of shaving cream. The first 2-4 shaves feel weird and almost unsuccessful but you quickly realize how awesome it is. It's a lot like going from a normal toothbrush to a Sonic Care electric toothbrush. It feels different at first and you're not sure if it's working but then you realize your life was sub-par until you starting using the product. I now recommend Somersets to all my friends. Giv s me a smooth shave without having to use a messy cream

I bought this product locally in the smaller bottle and spent several months getting the hang of how to use it. The oil basically makes your beard sticky which lets the razor attack each hair a little better. My best guess is the leading edge pulls it taught letting the blade make a cleaner, closer cut. The side effect of this is you don't feel like the razor is gliding over your skin. Recently I started using a brush to gently apply shaving soap lather over the oiled beard which seems to let the razor glide better over the skin while still achieving the pull and cut benefits of the oil.

I love this stuff.I always use a pre-shave oil and this is my favorite. It make your face feel cool and energized. It provides excellent protection and my razor glides across my face. I have recommended this to friends and family. A little goes a long way which makes this very economical and well worth the cost.

I haven't used a DE razor without this, so I can't remark on whether it's necessary or useful. I do know that using this and lathered soap shaving is a joy. The oil smells great and feels good on the skin. Older and wiser men than me recommend shaving oil and this hasn't failed me. I plan on using this product so long as it's for sale.

I discovered Somersets over 20 years ago and it changed the way I shave. Just 3-4 drops in the palm of your hand, rub them together and apply. You get a much closer, fresher shave than with foam. I used to buy the small bottles, but this larger one lasts for months on end. And you can use it for a wet shave, but also with a machine shaver. 1 drop is enough to help it glide better on the skin.

I hadn't tried purely oil based shaving gel before, but I after I gave this a try, I was really surprised. It's a lot less messy compared to gels or creams and it leaves your skin feeling supple after shaving. All you have to do before you shave is, apply the oil, a few drops works, massage into beard, wait a minute or two then shave. I normally don't wash my face after as I like how the oil makes my face feel, it has this nice but fresh stinging sensation.

Bought this as I travel internationally for work multiple times a month and was trying to reduce what I take and stay within fluid restrictions. I've now used this with both a standard cartridge razor and a double-edge razor and it worked brilliantly with both. Just 5-6 drops applied after washing in very warm water led to an incredibly smooth and cut-free shave. Splash with cold water and moisturise to finish. Makes a lot less mess than foam too. It's got a subtle, pleasant fragrance and seems to leave the skin in great condition. Been using for a little while and I'm a complete convert. Bought a second bottle so I could have one in the bathroom and one in the soap bag that never gets unpacked.
