Haven't used these enough to say anything about longevity, but initial impressions are very good. They're cheap and solid steel so should hold up well. I think the plastic clip is probably the weak point, but its only purpose is to prevent the hook from falling off the rod, it should work for this.I got these for hanging backpacks and life jackets but these would be really useful for most anything under 10 or so lbs, if you scuba dive, these would be great for a BCD or an octopus, could easily see these being used for tons of sporting equipment that similarly can be hung up by a single hook.

using them in the shower for wash clothe drying, cpap tube drying.Out in garage on the steel shelves to hang some tools.

We bought these hooks to use outside by the pool to dry towels and bathing suits, they are perfect. The clips secure them in place, and the rubber tips keep the hanging item in place. These will be great in other locations to hang items from rods. I will buy more to use throughout the house.

Gave this a 3 because first time I ordered I received a completely different type or hook. I sent back placed order a second time and the right hooks arrived. Other than the hassle I had these are good hooks.

We did not want to install and additional towel rack. These hooks are perfect to add additional space to hang wash cloths. We can now hang 5 wash cloths on one rack!

I purchased these so we could neatly hang our backpacks in the closet. They are much sturdier than they look and held up even our heavy packs with ease. The little plastic closure piece doesn't stay put very well but its not really a necessity.

Did not fit bar diameter. You really need to measure yo ur bar diameter.
