Q: why is it so gritty? Even after ai whipped it, it was still gritty.

When you rub it in, the grittiness should go away. Your body heat will help to melt it. Also remember, it goes a long way! This isn't the water-based junk you buy at the store!

Q: can i use my beaters and mix it with other oil to make body butter??

Yes you can! I do not heat it up though. I use room temperature Shea Butter add either Sesame seed oil or Coconut oil. Then I hand stir together and then beat it with a spoon till nice and fluffy! and then sometimes I hand wire whisk to make it very smooth and whipped. Don't need to beat it more than 5 minutes though to get the desired result.

Q: Do you consider this shea butter to be organic?

They didn't say that it was but you could ask them. I purchased it because it was advertised as the best grade Shea butter on Amazon.com. I am very very pleased with it! It doesn't have a strong scent and I've mixed it so far with coconut oil and also almond oil and will be mixing it with sesame oil to make creams. I applied it full strength to a suspicious growth on my face and lo and behold the growth is shrinking! and I've only been applying it for about a week. I will be ordering more as I'm very pleased with how my skin feels with this Shea butter
