PlaymobilRescue Ladder Unit Playset

My son loves all things "Fire truck". He already had the Playmobile ambulance, so we bought this ladder truck for him for Christmas. He loves the interchangeability of the 2 men from the ladder truck. The ladder does have some problems staying up, but it works wonderfully for him. As a warning, the truck comes with several small items (helmets, hose nozzle, megaphone, and fire extinguisher). We've set these aside at this point so they don't get lost. The truck is very durable. From experience with the ambulance, the cab "locking tabs" may break before the truck is reached the end of its useful life. This will have no affect of putting the cab on the truck, but it will not be able to lock in place. In actuality, this makes it easier for my son to remove the cab to put the men into the driver's seat. Initially, the cab is very difficult to remove.This vehicle is loved by my son. He enjoys moving the ladder, unrolling the hose, and turning on the lights and siren.

My son loves this truck more than anything in his room. He got it for his birthday and didn't care about any other present, he slept with it, he took it in the car to daycare. Once at daycare I couldn't pry it out of his hands, when other kids went "oooo fire truck" he turned into a tiny little Golem "my fire truck momma" "yes bebe your fire truck"This is well made and will last for much longer than most of his toys. We ended up getting other toys from the company for just that reason. Some of them come with tiny little parts that I don't give him because I don't want to step on them in the night. The ladder comes off a little easier than I would like but really that is a small price to pay for so much love he has for this toy :)

Just received this now to give my youngest nephew for Christmas. As always, Playmobil is fantastic, but they put my one and only concern on this to rest. It advertises working lights and sirens, and as any parent can tell you, that is usually a nightmare to live with until the batteries die or "fall out." This truck, however, got it right. The lights flash nicely, and the siren sounds great, but at a low, "we think only the kid actually playing with this needs to be able to hear this distinctly," volume. Perfect! So, if you're looking for a toy that will subtly tell the kid's parents you hate them, this is NOT it, :) but if you're looking for a great fire truck toy that everyone will be happy with, this is it!

Couldn't buy this in the Netherlands.

I had tons of Playmobil growing up and I was hoping to get my step daughter started on it so that she could "inherit" all of my Playmobil which are still in very good condition. Well, she does not seem to take to it that well and this is more on my part then the actual product. One thing I like about Playmobil is that besides their 1-2-3 line, they have some of their toys that go with their other lines that are a little simpler. I got this one for that reason. There are bigger and more complex fire trucks, but I did not want to invest in them if she could not simple play with this one. Thankfully I was right as she did not seem to take to it that much. But I know it is a great product and I would have played with it a ton if I was her age again. But like I said, it would make for a great starter set, something that a parent can build on for their kids if they really like it.Funny thing is, she got the Paw Patrol fire truck with Marshal from her grandparents too during the Christmas time. She had a good time playing with that, because it shoots out and goes some distance along a hard floor. However, that product was not made in USA or Europe and broke after a couple of weeks. Roughly same amount of money, just different quality. Playmobil wins hands down.

Bought this as a present and it was loved so much he insists on bringing it to bed. There are two different buttons so the lights can work with or without sound. The siren is loud enough to amuse but not so much it will drive mom's & dad's to grab the aspirin! This also came with batteries included so it took no time to have it out of the box and into his hands; playing and laughing happily! I've seen the reviews complaining about the ladder piece snapping out of place. This has only happened once when the truck fell out of his bed, but not during playtime.

The quality of this toy is very good. I bought it for my two year old and made the choice to put it up for him till he gets a little older. There's a few little parts that I took away when I first gave to him to play with but he strips the cab off of it along with the ladder. Not the best toy for a 2 year old but they clearly state the age group on the box. It's a great toy that I'm just gonna have to put up for him until he gets a little older.

I bought this for my 3 year old boy who is a big Fireman Sam fan. He absolutely adores this. The figures can be moved around freely and there are plenty of little bits and bobs to play with (not suitable for children who like putting everything in their mouth! It is a well made toy, although it is slightly annoying that the hose doesn't stay in place for long, although that may be because I have quite a clumsy son! Would absolutely buy this toy as a present for other children. I would recommend it as suitable for 3 / 4 year olds and up.
