Review: Comfortable, perfect match, longevity remains to be seen. - We had to replace this seat after a family member cracked it while standing on it to reach the cabinet above. This one doesn’t look any sturdier than the original, so don’t make that mistake! I love the self-closing feature (no more noisy clanking) but wish the manufacturer would have used sturdier attachments where the seat attaches to the tank. I’m not sure how long these ones will last and am a little hesitant to over-crank them for fear of them breaking off. We were able to secure the seat tight enough to not slip around after a few tries, I’m just unsure about the longevity.
