Best disc retrieval item
This thing is amazing. It’s a super long pole that has sections so you can make it work in a lot of situations. The mechanism is incredibly easy to use. I and multiple of my friends I throw with have used it and no one has any issues with it.It’s the best disc retrieval item I’ve used. Waaaay better than the golden retriever.Only downside is due to the length it’s only going to fit in certain bags.I have the Innova hero backpack and I put it in one of the side pockets and it sticks up. Been working well.To sum it up. Buy this. It’s great

The pole is nice for moving tall grass aside while searching for lost ...
Incredible tool! I bring it on every round regardless; I’ve used it to grab branches & shake discs down in addition to water retrieval. The pole is nice for moving tall grass aside while searching for lost discs. I use it for everything related to disc retrieval. WELL worth the $$.One quick tip; be sure and tighten the bungie before retrieving the first time; I needed to removed about 12-14” to get mine tight (but not too tight) so that there is tension on the bungie when you apply the weight of a disc. Just slide the end stopper out; untie; trim (10-14” id say); re-tie, then burn ends so they don’t unravel. You may need to re-tighten again during the course of its use.

I need to buy the inventor a six pack and bottle of whiskey.
Rescued 12 discs at Trojan Disc Golf Course during Winter Golf in one day (not all mine). Worth its weight in gold if you play a lot of water hazards. Stayed dry. One word of caution, make sure the head is screwed on tight and check it often. I used some masking tape on the threads to tighten up the head. It tends to unwind. Ask me how I know.... Update: One big drawback about not having locking sections on the pole, if you clamp it down on a branch or stem, the sections pull apart and you have to pull the gator back with sheer force and hope that the bungie doesn't snap. I've been looking for a painter's extension so that isn't a problem anymore. I wished the sections of the poles could be secured. It's really the only flaw of this tool. I had to take away a star for this issue.

Works great 9/10 times
Love this thing and it's saved me from losing a lot of discs. My only real gripe is that if you're going into weeds or have a disc slightly dug into the mud, as soon as you pull, the individual sections come loose and it can be incredibly hard to get them back together and wiggle the disc loose. That said, I've always managed to get my disc back for myself and others so I'll take the minor frustration and loss of time over losing discs.

Great retrieval tool, especially for water
The only complaint I have is that the head easily comes un screwed, but a little Teflon tape helped.

... I could give it more stars because it works pretty good for retrieving your discs out of the water ...
Wish I could give it more stars because it works pretty good for retrieving your discs out of the water or trees.First issue is the tent poles are flimsy and the bungee cord holding them together doesn't hold tention long. I bought a telescoping pile and it's much better. 2nd the main bolt holding it together is rusted just two weeks after I bought it after one or two times getting wet. You'd think for $40 they could use a stainless steel bolt. Third the metal trigger clip falls out and you lose it. They give you two but I lost both of hem within 3 weeks. They need to use a stronger steel wire that won't come out as easily. So it functions great but it's pricey and you need to Modify it

Tell Nature "Perhaps another day."
This is the finest disc retrieval device I've ever used. Worth its weight in golden retrievers and you couldn't beat this thing with a stick. It's not very heavy and most disc golf bags have a way to lash the pole to the bag. It's worth carrying around like a machete if you can't find a way to tie it to your bag. This thing will grab a disc in rushing water, it will snag one out of a tree, and it'll get one out of that bush you want no part of. If you think you could jab someone or something with a spear or a stick (if you had to not just for kicks) then you can retrieve discs with the Gator.

Grabbers works great, may want to upgrade the handle though
WARNING, THIS DEVICE CAN BE DANGEROUS(read bottom lines)The grabbing part of this device works just as intended. It saved me some money and has paid for itself already with just a few weeks of use. The tent poles are somewhat not good though. They make it hard to control where the mouth of the jaws are going some of the time. Also at full extension they begin to sagg. The final issue is that sometimes when the jaw closes on the disc it grabs some grass, sticks with it and makes it hard to pull them out. With the tent pole style sticks when its caught like that the whole thing collapses and you're left pulling on the inner bungee cord. Good thing is that the threads are the same pitch as any standard broom or paint stick so it'll be easy to find a collapsible paint roller handle if you'd like...When this is collapsed down to its stored size, it's about as tall as my disc golf bag with the grabber being slightly taller.....Update as of November 23 2020..BE CAREFUL when pulling back with a stuck disc! Earlier this month I had a stuck disc in some weeds and started pulling with some force to it. The inner bungee cords stretched out then finally released the disc tent poles like a missle straight back into my stomach like somebody shot me with an arrow. It penetrated my skin and left a gash and a scar on my stomach..Dropped me to my knees right away...DO NOT PULL BACK WITH ALOT OF FORCE!!..I recommend changing the tent pole handle out for an extendable paint handle asap.
