If you have a wood burning stove like I have, this fan is a must have. You just put it on top of the stove and the hot air will move the fan blades and the heat will go much farther out into the room then if you didn't have it. It is whisper quiet and just works on its own. You don't have anything to plug in, just set it down and you are good to go. I would buy this again. In fact, I have two for the top of my stove.

it wont blow a stream of hot air all the way across the shop but it does move some air. for our situation i couldnt ask for anything better.

Update: company contacted me and replaced the fan. They were very nice about it!Stopped working after 4 months, it just stopped working for no apparent reason. It was really nice when it worked!

I thought I'd give this a try on my woodstove insert. I have about 5 inches of space at the top of the insert to set one of these little fans. Overall, the insert is pretty well insulated, and I wasn't sure how hot would be hot enough to get this little fan working. Most of the time I can touch the top of the woodstove when it is completely hot and I don't get burnt. This fan has a low temperature start time, so I thought it would work. And it does! It works great! The insert does have an electric blower and that is a must. This fan was not a replacement for that, but an addition. I do think it moves some heat throughout the room. I'm thinking about adding another of these fans to the top. The fan is quiet, I don't hear it all over over the blower. The only con is that I don't think it moves a lot of air, but it does help. I recommend this and I will probably buy another.

The jury's still out. Bought for wintertime. Hopefully my little buddy heater will be even better.

it sort of does what description says it does, When the stove gets hot, the fan starts to spin. however, I am unable to determine if the fan is pushing any heat or just spins. It looks nice. Maybe my pellet stove doesn't get hot enough for the fan to push enough hot air around.

At 230deg it tries to start turning, and at 270deg the blades turn slowly.

I bought two of these for our gas fireplace because the fan had gone on ours and they wanted an exorbitant amount to replace it. Like the cost of a new fireplace. So I decided to buy these and give them a try. They work just fine and are very quiet. Great little invention. They circulate the air just fine. They aren't your normal type of fan but they work just fine.

I do not have a wood burning stove. However, the heat has been turned off in our building for repairs which will last several months and the heater that the building gave us just does not cut it. So I use this on a burner on my stove and my whole suite is very warm and comfortable. I love it! I am in a seniors home so this has meant a lot to me.

You see the flame been goin for over hour and there it sits after 4 months, plus i cleaned the dust off in case it was that…. I expected at least 2 seasons… got barley 4 months… unreal. I won’t buy this one again

This item is very light and small. The fan turns easily with little heat on the wood stove, but even when the stove is hot, no air movement can be felt whatsoever. Don't waste your money.

Bon produit, par contre, il est petit. Facile à utiliser, seulement le mettre sur le poêle à bois et c'est parti. Il faudrait en acheter un deuxième pour plus de commodité.
