Mag & Aluminum Polish, 10 oz. (05101)

I’ve used Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish on different automotive projects, and it continues to be one of those products I like keeping in the garage. It works especially well when I’m trying to bring some shine back to aluminum and other uncoated metal surfaces that have become dull or oxidized. The polish is easy to work with. I usually apply a small amount at a time, work it into the metal, and then buff it off with a clean cloth. It does take some effort depending on the condition of the surface, but the difference afterward can be impressive. I’ve had good results getting a much brighter, cleaner finish without needing specialized equipment. I also like the versatility. Besides aluminum, I can use it on appropriate stainless steel trim, exhaust tips, brass, and other uncoated metals, so the 10-ounce container goes a long way around the garage. A little product is usually all I need for smaller jobs. Overall, Mothers has been a dependable metal polish for me. It’s straightforward to use, lasts a long time, and can make older or dull metal look considerably better with some patience and elbow grease. Definitely something I would purchase again.

I bought the Mothers polish to clear up my hazy, polycarbonate skylight. I saw some YouTube videos that were using Mothers polish to clean up hazy headlight covers, so I thought I'd give it a try on the skylight. Worked great, removed the haze and left a clear, shiny surface. I did over heat a small patch on the edge by holding the buffer in place too long. Otherwise, it did a fantastic job. I would use it for other polishing jobs.

Limitations • Uncoated Metals Only: It is strictly meant for bare, uncoated, and unplated metals. It should not be used on clear-coated wheels or anodized aluminum, as it can damage the protective factory coating. • No Heavy Scratch Removal: While it dramatically improves reflective shine, it will not completely erase deep gouges or structural scratches in the metal.

Perfect for my tiny rental kitchen sink. I grabbed this because my stainless sink and cheap aluminum kettle were looking dull and kind of sad. One Saturday I put on a podcast, grabbed an old T shirt, and worked a little bit of this polish onto the sink corners that always trap grime. It took some scrubbing but the gray gunk came off fast and the metal actually looked brighter. I even tried it on my bike pedals and they came back to life too. The best part is I only used a small amount, so this one 10 oz tub should last me ages on my renter budget.

Mothers mag worked great on my deceased brothers sportster. Has been sitting in my garage for 15 years with plenty of oxidation. With the help of this potion I was able to bring it back to its original luster. Will be using it on my Honda shadow next. A friend told me about it and he was right on the money. Great product...

A You Tube hack used this to clean old headlights to make them clear again and with a very minimal amount of polishing with a cloth, it works great! The headlights on our 2014 Toyota Camry kept getting cloudy but now are very clear, better than when I paid a body shop $80 to "clean" them. The plastic lenses just have a hint of yellow to them even though they are crystal clear and maybe that would go away with a repeat polish, just haven't tried that yet.

J’ai testé ce polish Mothers Mag & Aluminum principalement pour le polissage de mes jantes en aluminium, et je suis vraiment très satisfait du résultat. Je cherchais un produit capable de redonner une vraie brillance à l’aluminium et surtout d’obtenir un rendu proche de l’effet miroir, et il a parfaitement rempli son rôle. Le produit est assez facile à appliquer et il n’est pas nécessaire d’en utiliser énormément. Après avoir bien travaillé le polish puis essuyé avec une microfibre propre, la différence est immédiatement visible. L’aluminium devient beaucoup plus brillant, les parties ternies retrouvent leur éclat et, en insistant sur le polissage, on arrive à obtenir une très belle finition brillante avec de beaux reflets miroir. Sur mes jantes, le résultat a franchement dépassé mes attentes. Elles paraissent beaucoup plus propres et beaucoup mieux finies, avec une profondeur de brillance que je n’arrivais pas à obtenir avec les produits classiques que j’avais essayés auparavant. Il est également très efficace pour la finition après un polissage plus important. Le pot devrait en plus durer assez longtemps puisqu’une petite quantité de produit suffit à chaque passage. Pour tous ceux qui souhaitent rénover, faire briller ou obtenir un effet miroir sur des jantes en aluminium, c’est vraiment un produit que je recommande. Très bon rapport qualité/prix et résultat au rendez-vous. Mes jantes ont retrouvé une brillance magnifique !
