First, I love my hair stylist but after the COVID Pandemic Hit and she could restart, her prices went up for special requirements to be met. My Personal "Party Cartoonist" Business was also shutdown but must be restructured for an internet market (still no crowds events), and that is requiring all of any available funds I have to use. This kit doesn't "teach" this proud new owner how to use it for hair cutting and styling but it will help me keep my hair out of my eyes. This kit is perfectly sized for my smaller hands and can be easily cleaned and adjusted. I can actually do some trimming of my hair style and help myself look presentable, between my appointments. The scissors are sharp enough not to damage the hair follicles. The thinning shears and included comb worked good enough to control my 13 "cowlick" whirls when my hair growth gets too dense. Again, enough to manage but not enough to damage my style, which normally is quite short. This review is for those, like me, who now are using all available income for food - home prepared. This styling kit will last and is easy to store in its bag. The hair catcher cape may not last long with little squirmy children, but I'm an adult, so I will have this to use for a good long time. This will never replace my Professional Stylist but I don't want to look like a looney cartoon character in between appointments either, although I do perform in clown face makeup occasionally. I'd buy this again for gifts for my friends, and plan to when I have my income source back.

I’ve had this for over a year now and they've held up well for the most part. I cut my husbands hair with clippers and these almost every couple of weeks, so I get a good use out if them. The apron thing that you use to wrap around the body is already degrading/ ripping though, which is funny because it’s not like I’m doing anything to it other than put it on and take it off.
