Practical and Simple Learning Tool for Tempo
I agree with other reviews on the exceptional quality and ease of operations. I’m experiencing positive results using this manual metronome vs an electronic one I’ve had for sometime. The mechanical beat sound and the optional bell are a winning combination to learn tempo. If you want a quieter mechanical experience, try placing into a clear tote (works for me with my acoustic guitar practice).

Solid enough and does the job
I am a big believer in mechanical metronomes for people learning music, especially children. The motion of the arm helps to reinforce the rhythm of the piece. This metronome delivers a steady, accurate rhythm. It also makes its sound mechanically, which is so much more pleasant to me than the electronic metronome sounds. It emulates the look of a classic wooden metronome at a much more affordable price point. It can also make a bell chime sound which I personally find annoying, but you have to explicitly turn it on. My child, of course, loves the bell sound and I will admit it has some pedagogical value for indicating the start of a new measure. My child has been using this for six months now. It's been dropped more than once and played with by all manner of visitors to our house. It's still ticking strong.

Loud enough to practice with.
This is great for general practice. It has a pleasant but loud "tock" to it. The only problem I had with it is that I can barely hear the chime it has for specific beats. It looks great and works well otherwise.

Adorable metronome!
Adorable metronome! I’m not a musician but my friend is and has the same one. I got this for my kids for playing piano. Works great so far!

This is a great metronome for any beginning band student!
We purchased this metronome for my daughter who is 8 and just started drums in band. It is wonderful for a beginner as she is still learning to keep a beat and I love that it has the added bell to tell her when the first beat is. I really appreciate that it is a wind up so you don’t have to worry about replacing batteries constantly. It is the perfect size to not take up a ton of space on her desk and still sounds good and loud so she can head it over her drums. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly Great
I wasn’t sure about this metronome, as it’s made from plastic, but it’s actually really good quality. It’s much easier to hear than the digital ones I’ve purchased in the past, and I feel the pendulum element provides visual assistance to young musicians. I’m very happy with my purchased and would happily buy it again. As a bonus, the bright color is so pretty!

All you need!
It’s the 2nd one I bought. First one was over winded.
