The back support folds back and turns into a bed. If you are around 5'7 and under, it will feel fine. Any taller, and you will need a leg support.. FYI It only looks good if it is against the wall. If you have it in your living room space on an angle, it won't look good because it has a black cover support sticking out in the back.

Q: What is the sitting weight capacity?

I'm not sure but I would NOT put more than 400 lbs of weight on the small sofa. The legs don't even look strong enough to even withstand 2 x 150lbs people to quickly sit on it hard..

Q: Do the legs simply screw in and therefore could be replaced with taller ones?

The legs are on a flat base, and the base screws into the bottom of the seat. Three screws for each leg base, and the piece comes with the screws that fit. I suppose you could replace the legs, but the new legs would have to be configured similarly with the three screw-points on the base of the leg.

Q: Are the armrests detachable? Can they come off easily?

The armrests are removable and very easy to disassemble
