Great sound
Iโve used a lot of different amps and subs from cheap to high end name brands, with built in crossovers to get more punch, but was never satisfied. Thought I would try a separate crossover. This was cheap so I wouldnโt be out much if it didnโt work. I am amazed at the sound quality. Even using cheap subs and a Behringer I nuke 3000 turning off the built in crossover I have way more punch than before. Yes it has a loud pop when it turns on or off... just turn your amps on after it is on. Two small complaints about it. 1- it didnโt fit my rack, I had to extend the mounting holes, not a deal breaker. 2- I wish it had 1/4โ outputs because I have never owned and amp with mic inputs on it. I had some adapters to try it out, will be getting more because it is staying in my rack.

Solved a problem for me, cheaply
Anyone with a subwoofer knows: if there's any electronics in there with the sub they're gonna be rattled to pieces. That's what happened to my Adam speakers, pretty high end stuff. The 2.1 system started crackling during playback so I troubleshot it to the crossover that's built into the sub. I just put this between my monitor control and the speakers, and it works GREAT! If you really wanna hear what your system can do, you need to pay attention to crossover freqs! I have one complaint: Once you have it dialed in, adjustments are hair-sized! A very slight turn of the knobs makes large differences. That's what you end up with with a small form factor like this one. Good piece of gear.

Horrible! An audiophiles nightmare!
My nightmare first started when I powered the xover up and was greeted by a loud thump! Well that's not very good quality, but, OK, whatever, I can live with that. ...then as I went to the stereo, I heard nothing but a soft rush of static. OK? Maybe I have the gain set too high some where... NOPE! The noise floor on this thing is just horrible!! OK, fine, whatever. I can drown that out. ...what? Now my left tweeter isn't working... Cable not connected? NOPE! Channel 1 High is bad! Now why does that sound familiar? Oh yeah! Someone else posted that same problem in a review here. I guess this is a common defect for these xovers.
