G-ShockGMWB5000RD-4 Red IP One Size

My watch came with all the paperwork and protective plastic on the watch!! The color is amazing in person. Although spending $500+ on a G-SHOCK is probably not the best idea I personally think it’s worth it.But! You must buy a screen protector since it’s not sapphire.

The media could not be loaded.  First, everything I like: The watch is GORGEOUS. It just looks so damn good, and it’s hard to show how good it looks in a picture so I also posted a video. The color is a beautiful wine red, and out of all of the metal G squares I would argue this will pop more than any of them. It’s definitely the most flashy of the bunch, but not over the top. The wearability is great, I have several metal (steel and titanium) squares and they are all very comfortable. For reference I have a 7” wrist. I also love how maintenance free the watch is as far as keeping time. It has multiband 6 meaning it can sync to the atomic clock via radio wave which it will do automatically every night, or you can sync it to your phone via Bluetooth and it will auto sync several times a day to ensure it’s keeping perfect time. It’s also solar powered so you never have to worry about changing batteries. Lastly, it’s a G-SHOCK so you know it will keep ticking even after slamming it on the concrete. However, that brings me to….The cons: There isn’t much to dislike about this watch, but I do have two concerns. First, the beautiful IP costing is incredibly fragile. I have had 4 IP coated steel squares now and all of them have gotten scratched within the first 2-3 times I’ve worn them. If you work at a desk and use a computer you can basically kiss the clasp goodbye, it’s going to scratch instantly the second it touches your desk. I am very self aware of not rubbing and slamming my watch into things as I move around in my daily life, and I literally cannot remember a single time any of these watches touched anything other than my desk, but 3 out of 4 of them have scratches somewhere other than the clasp. Basically, these watches are gorgeous, it yku have to go in knowing they are going to get scratched up.My second concern is not a concern for me personally, but for those with smaller wrists. I have a 7” wrist and this thing fits perfect (obviously you can add or remove links that’s not what I’m talking about). But the end links on this thing do not articulate very much, and I feel like it makes it wear like a bigger watch than it is. If you have less than a 6.5” wrist the end links may hang off the side of your wrist and make it a bit awkward to wear.Overall I LOVE all of my steel G squares, I just wish the IP coating wasn’t so fragile.

I asked my husband to write the title for this review and that's what he gave me.At first I was nervous, because I wasn't making the purchase through the original G-Shock website, but Amazon has a good return policy so I decided to make it anyway.I bought this watch as a gift for my husband. I asked him how he feels about the watch and he said "he likes everything!"He said he likes the high quality finish on the metallic band, the weight of the watch, and he enjoys the features this watch has to offer.Overall, he seems very happy about it which makes me feel like this was definitely a good buy. 👍Side note:When the watch comes out of the box the metallic band is set to fit a larger wrist, but making the adjustment to fit my husband's wrist was easy!
