2-Pack Retractable Keychain, Heavy Duty Carabiner Badge Holder, Tactical ID Badge Reel Key Chain with 31.5” Steel Retractable Cord, 8.0 oz

Lanyard lasted me 3 years and one month. I extended it and now it just won't retract. I tried fiddling with it and now the whole cable is extended. For the price, I'd buy it again. The cord never split and this is the only issue I've ever had with it.

They don’t deserve any starts. I used these for 3 weeks. Each one lasted me a week and a half before they wouldn’t retract anymore and the internal spring broke. There’s no way to pull it apart and fix it. I use these multiple times a day every day for 6 10s and they broke in a week and a half they feel sturdy, but the internals will not last you long at all.

Well, the cord did not break, which I suppose was my main objective. Purchased in May and lasted until the end of July. Almost 3 months of use- slightly under average for me. The clip itself is plastic and pretty light weight. Decent price for a two pack, just wish it would have lasted a little longer. Typically, my badge reels wear out at the cord, so after having my badge returned to me by a local police officer, he suggested trying metal cord. I work in a lab that requires badge access, so it gets a little more use than typical use of just entering the office 1-2x per day. When I badged in, I heard the mechanism inside break, and the badge would no longer retract. The cord was stuck and my badge was flopping around my knees. I guess at least it was still attached to me and not laying on some public sidewalk this time.

I bought this because it looked like a solid heavy-duty retractable keychain, and I liked that it comes as a 2-pack. The design is nice, the carabiner is convenient, and the 31.5” steel cord is a good length for using keys or an ID badge without taking everything off. However, after using it, I don’t think it is as heavy-duty as advertised. The retraction is okay, but it doesn’t feel strong enough if you carry more than just a very light set of keys. It can start to sag, and over time it doesn’t feel as reliable as I expected. The build also looks tougher than it actually feels in daily use. For basic badge use, it is probably fine, but if you are buying it for work keys or anything heavier, I would not fully trust it. Overall, it is not terrible for the price, especially since you get two, but I expected better durability and stronger retraction from something advertised as heavy duty.

I've bought this Keychain on July 29th and today on September 20th the Keychain no longer retracts. Very disappointed in this Keychain and I'm surprised how it has so many positive reviews. I've never stretched the cable to its full extend and the only thing that was holding was my work badge. I do not recommend it Update: After giving this review I was contacted by the seller and they offered me a partial refund. SInce I bought two keychains and only one was not working. It was okay for me since I had the other one. After another month of usage from Sep 20th, 2025 to today Oct 28th , 2025 the other one was broken too. These Keychains are strange, they look well built and the pull of its retractable function is good but still, it gets broken quite easily, I believe the strength when it retracts the cable damages the yoyo. Pretty disappointed on this Keychains. Do not buy, I repeat DO NOT BUY. After the first one stopped working, I opened it and this is how it looks from the inside

definitely well-made and durable, but a bit bigger than I expected

I found the MNGARISTA retractable keychain (badge holder) too bulky, and it broke in less than 2 months of light use. Not a quality product. My previous retractable keychain (badge holder) given to myself and other employees for free costs less than half as much as the MNGARISTA and lasted me a few years. That product design is sold under the name Teskyer on Amazon, among countless other almost identical listings. I purchased the KEY-BAK sidekick badge reel instead and am already happier. I can tell the cable pulls/retracts more smoothly and won't break soon. Do not recommend!

Great until it wasn’t. Lasted almost 3 years before the retractable mechanism broke. Pulled it not even 4” to scan my badge as I do daily and it sticks, wont retract all. It was really durable but very disappointing that it just randomly broke on me.

You won't regret buying this. Bought 2 and it looks durable. Cable is made of solid wire that will surely last

Very good quality and strong! It worth the money!

Me ha durado mucho tiempo, algunos años, no recuerdo cuando lo adquiri.
