I’m a fan of Klein Tools going way back to my days as a professional utility worker. Since I’ve retired I spend a lot of time working in my garage on old cars as well as helping my kids with their home improvement projects. This little speaker is always by my side streaming music or the news. The sound from such a small speaker is really outstanding, but my real love is the heavy magnetic mount. I’ve stuck it to cars, metal studs, tool boxes and even the refrigerator! Klein Tools makes several models of this speaker, but for me the built in magnet sold me on this model. While other reviews say the sound quality of the bass is kind of weak, attaching the speaker to and surface creates a “boom box” which amplifies the bass range. I’ve had no issues with Bluetooth hookups or drop offs and the speaker lasts all day on a charge at a normal listening level. Like I said, I love this thing!

Works good

This speaker is perfect for on the job work or garage/car work. The magnetic base is a great improvement over the old hanging strap. I even bring it golfing and use the magnetic base to stick to the golf cart rail. Only reason it’s getting 4 stars is it uses micro-usb for charging. If it had been a USB-C it’d be 5 stars for sure. Sounds great for its size. Compact. Klein colors.

Purchased November 2023. Mounted magnetically to the roof inside my Bobcat 773 skid steer and has not been removed since. It has lived in the machine through three Upstate New York winters and three summers, including snow removal, brush hogging, dirt work, dust, vibration, and temperature extremes. I may have charged it once or twice in place max. If I didn’t know better I’d believe it charged through vibrations. Bluetooth still works, battery still holds a charge, and the magnet remains secure. I bought it because it was magnetic. I would buy it again solely because it refuses to die.

Klein Tools never drops the ball with quality. This thing packs a punch for $40 and is plenty durable. The battery is true and lasts all day for my 11 hour shifts. The magnet on the back is the biggest plus and is plenty strong. Sound quality is pretty good, at highest you get a little distortion. Thing is similar size speakers either cost the same or more and have horrible quality. For $40 bucks this is bang for your buck.

I have a Bose Soundlink and this speaker blows it out of the water for functionality. I’m no audiophile but the sound quality is good period. Make sure you set your speaker settings appropriately if using an iPhone or Android device. Received this product a day before I went camping and the biggest and unassuming feature is the magnet on the back of the speaker. Stick it on any steel material and you’re in business. Not to large but just the right size. This speaker is so versatile you can take it anywhere and you won’t be disappointed. Remember to charge before using. I haven’t had to charge it since the first time. Used time has been around 30 hours and still going strong on the first charge. This battery is top notch. I am not sure if there’s a skin you can purchase to keep it from getting dirty etc. But if Klein makes one I’d certainly purchase one. Overall a 5/5

I bought this to use on a site where I was working alone in small rooms, and I couldn't be bothered carting around my big site radio. So far I've been more than happy with it. It's plenty loud enough, and the battery lasted me a couple of days at a medium volume. It feels well built too, so should survive ok on a building site.
