I began this book not knowing what to expect, and ended it wanting more, more, more. It was an excellent read; the descriptions of the dustbowl and the shack where the story takes place were vivid and beautiful, the characterizations of Lia and Evan were strong, showing both their strengths and their vulnerabilities. In such a short time, Shay Savage made me not only care about the two of them, but actively root for them, wishing that they would find a way to develop their fledgeling relationship.The story is highly charged and erotic, building the attraction that Evan and Lia initially feel into something visceral and unavoidable. I suggest having a cold shower nearby if needed, because this story is H.O.T.All in all, I highly recommend this story, you won't be disappointed.

Short story. Hot and sexy. Worth a read could have progressed into more I think.

What to say; love love love this short story by Shay. Have read a lot of her previous work elsewhere & she never fails to write brilliant engaging & intriguing stories. This story pulls you in straight away & you just can't stop till you've reached the end!Very captivating characters here that you just want to know more about immediately.A short story, especially by Shay is no easy feat but Shay pulls it off marvelously - only downside I NEED MORE!!! lolSo hoping she writes a longer, much longer follow up as I'd love to hear more about Evan & Lia

Great quick read. Perfect for a 30 minute break or commute. I hope she continues the story though, it felt a bit in the air at the end.

I have long been a fan of Shay Savage's writing - she never fails to engage one's interest and emotions in all her stories, and this is yet another winner. Short-story writing is a real art, and not everyone can do it; creating a truly captivating plot, with well-rounded and multi-dimensional characters within the short-story format is no easy task, but Ms Savage has hit every button. This is an intriguing little tale, which left me wanting much, much more, and I will be looking out for more work by this author.

This may be short but its soooo good, intense and has the hottest sex you will read this year. Her characters are so well written you will love them, it leaves you begging for more, but thank god, the sequel 'otherwise occupied is now out! I had to wait months but it was worth the wait. Love this set of books, can't wait for no.3. This woman is a great writer, read, you wont be disappointed..

Great short story to set the scene, give a bit of background, get to know the main character and give a taster of the top class writing style of this author. I've already started Otherwise Occupied and am already gripped. A bit pricey you may think for a short story, but well worth it in my opinion. Good stuff! Think I'll need a "do not disturb" sign for a few days!
