It's a Nice Shiny Object but unless you plan to put it on a shelf just to admire it, it's much too fragile for real life. The metal is so thin that the shape is easily deformed, which puts the lid out of alignment and could easily bend or crush your glasses. What's the point of a glasses case that can't protect your glasses?The lid has a spring. The first time I pressed the catch it opened nicely. But the catch is tiny and so poorly built, it wouldn't close. If I used two hands I could fuss with it and coax it to close. But you'd have to do that every time you opened and closed it.Returned!I only gave it two stars because it really looks great. Usable? No. Attractive? Sure!

The locking mechanism prevents a simple one hand locking (this is the main reason for just three stars) . It is more voluminous than the regular flip case. It is shipped with a piece of cleaning cloth which is useless because it would jam at the bottom of the case. The design is nice, but lacks somehow in functionality.Adding one more star.After some more use I found a way to close it using a single hand: as you hold it, press with your thumb the locking release button and with your index flip the cap to close.

The latch worked to open, though not as well as I would like; but it did not close properly. I was hoping for a case I could leave in my purse with quick open and close--this was not that. I returned. I gave it 2 starts since it did look like the image though I suspect it will wear out quickly, certainly seemed to show finger prints.

It's plastic, it's for glasses, thin readers work best in it.

Large glasses will not fit in this holder! That's fine for me since both my eyeglasses and sunglasses are on the smaller size. It's still a bit of a tight fit, but no worries since the inside has a plush lining. Also, it's made of thin aluminum, so I'd advise against standing or sitting on it, but it's perfect to keep in my purse.
