Review: I really like these retractable keychains. - I really like these retractable keychains. They feel strong and durable, and the retractable cord makes it easy to use my keys or ID badge without removing them. The carabiner clip is convenient for attaching to my belt or bag. I also like that the pack comes with two, which is a good value for the price. Overall, they're practical for everyday use, especially at work, and I would recommend them.
Review: Very good retraction spring preload and a coated steel cord. Virtually perfect! - These are pretty awesome! They have a high spring tension for retracting the cable+keys, the cable itself is a very thing gauge plastic coated steel cord. These are, by far, the strongest retractable keyring/ID Card units I've had. Most of the retraction units I've had in the past broke within 30 days. These have held up to the abuse I put them through without any problem. I am not afraid that the cable will snap and I'll lose the keys. Unlike every other one I've ever had! The plastic coating on the cable serves to reduce friction as the line gets paid out and when drawn back into the unit as well as weather/waterproofing the cable. The carabiner is well made and won't just come apart under normal use. This retractable keychain is about as perfect as it gets! If you're looking for one and/or an NFC/RFID key card and are on the fence with all the options... Just get this one. You won't be disappointed! I have only two minor suggestions that I would give to the manufacturer. Neither of these affect my rating and don't warrant dropping a star. First, the badge snap strip is affixed in a way you CANNOT remove it. If you want to remove it, it requires that you destroy it in the process. Doing so renders the badge snap strip useless. The only way to POTENTIALLY non-destructively remove it would be to spread the D-Clip apart so that you can remove the badge strip (and the keyring component) from the rest of the unit and then re-assemble it. I believe removing it in this manner would be troublesome and very difficult to do without damaging it. It would be beneficial to have that attached via the keyring part so that it can be removed when using it specifically as a keyring. That or use a smaller ring to attach it to the same little D-Clip the keyring itself is attached to. (See Attached Photo) Second, the carabiner should be a bit larger. It's a good design and well made, but you won't get it to fit with wider belt loops that some pants have and you can't simply remove it and replace it as it's integrated into the plastic body of the unit. It still does exactly what it should, but if the carabiner were made a little larger to fit the fatter belt loops and potentially simply user replaceable, it would make this unit better. The carabiner itself is made of metal. (See Attached Photo) As I said, I don't count either of these two things as flaws, nor do they warrant a lower rating as a result. They are just two things that would be beneficial if the manufacturer were to correct them.

I really like these retractable keychains. They feel strong and durable, and the retractable cord makes it easy to use my keys or ID badge without removing them. These are pretty awesome! They have a high spring tension for retracting the cable+keys, the cable itself is a very thing gauge plastic coated steel cord. Feels good, nice metal braided cable, good spring tension. Feels like it should hold up for a couple years or so compared to the thread types that hold up for a few months before breaking. 9.5/10, would ABSOLUTELY recommend
