Scott Foresman Addison-Wesley Mathematics, Grade 3

This is the book being used at my kids school for Fifth grade.The problems and methods are very descriptive and mi kid reads this book like a story book and starts answering questions at the end of each topic.I would recommend this even for general training for kids in 5th grade.

This is a great book for a 3rd grader. I work with my daughter every day from this book, and she developed her own strategy of solving different exercises faster and more accurate.

My son is homeschooling for second grade. This book actually makes math his favorite subject. He loves to just work ahead in it. Also, the think and respond questions are a great opportunity for us to go over the previous pages together and reiterate the concepts of the lessons.

We bought this text book to help our 7th grader with Algebra. and we just loved it! it's very through and has answers on the back. i'd recommend this book to teens who have someone helping them.

I picked up this Practice Masters/Workbook as well as the Homework Workbook last year to supplement my child's SFAW 5th grade math instruction. Because it is newer than the text they used, I didn't worry too much about whether the lessons matched up and so can't comment on that, but I found it helpful in providing extra problem solving practice for my child especially since it seems to cover the common core standard subjects for math in Washington State. What this book lacks, however, that the other has is the review of the algorithms and/or problem solving strategies. Because some problems are included in both books, I would recommend the Homework Workbook: Reteaching, Practice (which is also longer) over this one. In summary, I can't vouch for how well it corresponds to the textbook (the bottom of each page shows the lesson that it corresponds to), but for parents wanting a supplement for students who need extra problem solving practice, choose the SFAW Homework Workbook over this (the Practice Masters/Workbook).

This was a great purchase, just like new and now my son cant say he forgot to bring home his book!
