Seller was awesome.
The first one that I received only half worked. I easily returned it and received my replacement within 2 days. The second one worked up great! The seller was awesome.

TYPE E - DID NOT WORK, REPLACEMENT DID NOT WORK EITHER
First one I received came in a plain cardboard box, unlike the picture you see on the web site. The top of the bulb was a different shape too. And it did not work. So I returned it, requesting a replacement. The replacement came a few days later, same cardboard box, same result. But there is no way to return it! Thanks, Amazon,, $25 down the drain and I still don't have a working replacement bulb for my OttLite. I'm giving up on OttLites.

Ott Light Just takes a small space.
Easy to replace this 13W light. Doesn't seem to be as bright as the original, but works okay. Love these lights that help me see when sewing... on each machine. You won't be disappointed.

I was ready to buy a new light, but found this bulb that works from the OttLight people. So happy to have a working light again.

Bulb burn out might take out the electronic ballast with it
Bulb burned out on Ottlite Craft Organizer Lamp. Purchased this replacement bulb but it did not light up when installed. The lamp was a little challenging to take apart but when I finally opened it up, the electronic ballast was noticeably damaged with the top a large capacitor blown off. I replaced the capacitor but the lamp still didn't work probably due to another component failure like one of the transistors. I purchased a replacement electronic ballast for a 13W lamp. Everything is working now with new ballast and new bulb. Tested the old bulb with the new ballast but old bulb was burned out. I put overall rating as a neutral 3 only because some of you might purchase this bulb and still find out it doesn't light up due to some other failure. There are a couple of good youtube videos that cover repair and even conversion to LED bulb. Good luck all!

Best nightstand light bulb
This thing is mighty. If you’re buying it then you already own the ott lamp and know how wonderful it is. It’s like daytime at night. There’s no yellow tones. And this lightbulb lasts FOREVER. My last one (original with lamp) that I use on my nightstand was at least 10 years old. I even thought does this thing die? Great value considering that. No problems installing it.

Defect item
Hey guys I got it but is not working . The bulb when you shake it sounds like something is moving inside , make noise like a Small stone or something it’s moving inside . Very disapointing

The bulb was fine, but the lamp burned out in the base and took the bulb with it. The lamp was older than my car.
