What way to point it do I point so the wind comes through the anemometer

Point it in the direction the wind is blowing! If you're not sure, hold up a piece of thin/light material, even tissue paper, and see which way it moves - then hold this in the same direction. It won't give you an accurate reading however so keep in mind this is more of a 'toy' than a genuine scientific device. And that includes the temp sensor which is frankly rubbish. Kids find it fun (for about five mins) though.

How accurate is the barometer function?

Potentially not very. During a storm when winds were high recently, ( 70+MPH gusts recorded locally) I couldn’t get gusts more than 35mph and could really feel the wind buffering me and was unable to walk in a straight line. I’m not confident with the readings given by it.
