I had originally purchased a full new kit from a local store but then quickly realized that to install it I would have to remove the existing housing in order to install it. So instead, I purchased this hoping that it would fit into my existing housing. The cost of this alone was more than the brand new kit but was easily offset by the lack of having to demo sheetrock to remove the wash ld housing. This was super easy to install, I literally just unplugged the old motor and plugged the new one in and went on my way. It's not the quietest fan, but it actually works well compared to my old one so I'm happy with it. Review: Good replacement fan - Easy install and fit perfect.
