Good basic toaster. Easy to use and works well.
It was time for a new toaster, so I went searching. I didn't need anything fancy and no need for 4 slots etc. I did want one with wide enough slots to accommodate thick slices of bread or bagels. This one fit the bill! The price was right and it had fast delivery; I received it in time to make toast the next morning. My thick slices of sourdough bread fit in the slots. I like that it has the little "elevator" feature where you can push the slices up a little further out of the top to make it easier to grab them. I'm still playing a little "trial and error" on figuring out which setting to use for which bread, but as long as nothing has burned I'm happy. I did buy one more "accessory" which I hadn't seen before (It's been a long time since I went toaster shopping, LOL). I got a "BESTonZON 1PCS Silicone Toaster Dust Cover, 2 Slice Toaster Lid" also from Amazon. It's a silicone sheet that fits on top of the toaster and very precisely covers the slots to keep dust etc out. The cover is also black, so it's actually pretty sleek looking. I hope not to need a new toaster again anytime soon, but if I did, I'd happily buy this model again.

This is the toaster to buy
I read scathing reviews for dozens of toasters on Amazon, so I expected all new toasters now must be garbage. This one isn't! I haven't owned a toaster in decades, but I recently had to give up gluten, and needed a way to toast gluten free bread. (FYI this toaster fits both O'Doughs gluten free bagel thins, as well as their thicker sandwich thins with ease). I don't like extra dark or extra crispy toast, so I use the lowest toast setting and just push it down a couple of times. It toasts quickly, evenly, with no scorching, and no blackening. When I first opened the toaster I almost sent it back. There was a small dent on a top corner of the toaster. The box was completely intact, so it was odd. I was annoyed, as I hadn't even used it yet. But I decided to try it first. It worked perfectly, which is all that mattered to me. And I wasn't willing to try another brand with all the awful reviews I'd read through. I didn't know if the dent was a one off or not, and wasn't willing to take my chances on a replacement. The cord length is okay. About the same as any other small kitchen appliance. You always want them to be longer than they are. But you're supposed to unplug this toaster after every use, so it only needs to be in a spot close to that outlet while you're actually toasting. So my coffee maker and toaster alternate sharing that spot. The crumb tray is much easier to open and empty than any old school toaster I ever had. It does seem to catch a good bit of the crumbs. I shake the toaster over my sink periodically, to knock out additional crumbs. There aren't too many crumbs that end up on my counter. I highly recommend this one. Most affordable kitchen appliances I've bought in the last few years have been short lived flimsy messes. This thing is simple, sturdy, consistent, and a great price for the quality.

Seems to work fine, so far.
This is great for a basic toaster. The sides truly are cool to the touch right after toasting, though the top stainless steel part does get hot. So little ones do need to watch their fingers to make sure they don't get hurt. I received this toaster yesterday and just toasted one bagel so far. The toaster does not have a bagel setting, though I never used the bagel setting on my old toaster so that does not matter to me. I had the cut side toward the outside and found that the coils only turned red around the outside edges, which toasted the edges a bit brown and just crisped the center of the bagels. This was on a setting between 2 and 3. The bagel tasted fine though I might experiment with the settings a bit. Even though the opening is wide, it is just about 1/4 inch shorter in length than my B&D previous toaster. The large bagel did just barely fit in, but it did fit.

Great little toaster.
It makes toast, just like it's supposed to. Wide range of temperature settings. The fact that the cord comes out the front if rather bizarre but it's plenty long so that no problem. I like the fact that the cord is easily rolled up underneath so it stores away conveniently.

Quality Toaster At A Good Price
This toaster works well for me, toasting my morning bagel to perfection, along with an occasional English muffin or regular toast. So, admittedly I have not put this toaster through rigorous use but so far no problems. It takes up less counter space than my late, lamented toaster and the slots are plenty wide enough for bagels.

Works just OK.
Have to turn up pretty high to get bread to toast. Also, bottom 1/4 of slice of bread doesn't toast. I'll keep this, though.

EXCELLENT!!!
EXACTLY what I needed: a simple, old fashioned toaster with wide slots AND cool touch, Also makes great toast. ONE SMALL DESIGN FLAW; but, 5 stars anyway. (The cord should extend from the back, not the front.)
