Shape of the boot provides good space for toes to wriggle. I am a HGV driver and i wear these boots for 12 hour or longer shifts. Never had any issues. The photos attached are after almost 8 months use and the sole is pretty much battered but apart from that they are spot on. And yes throughout my professional years these are the only work boots which got compliments for style. Review: Brilliant and stylish work boots - Great English boot makers version of the Red Wing Irish Setter, at fraction ofvthe cost. Sizing is proper UK Fitting, so size down. Good year welted and comfy wedge outsole. My only criticism would be the lack of deeper grooves on the sole, so might slip in muddy or wet conditions. 9/10 ## Features - Brown Oily Full Grain Leather - 7 Eyelet Lace Up Moc Toe Boot - Safety Rating EN ISO 20345:2011 S1P - Phylon Outsole - Goodyear Welted ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09DD8WH1Z | | Best Sellers Rank | 95,835 in Fashion ( See Top 100 in Fashion ) 418 in Men's Work & Utility Footwear | | Boot Form Type | Work Boot | | Brand | Grinders | | Closure Type | Lace-Up | | Colour | Brown | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 50 Reviews | | Heel Type | No Heel | | Inner material | Nylon, Airmesh | | Insole Material | Nylon | | Item Weight | 2.25 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Grinders | | Model Name | Alpha | | Model number | Alpha | | Occasion | Walking | | Outer Material Type | Leather | | Outer material | Leather | | Pattern | plai | | Season | Autumn/Winter | | Shaft Circumference | 5 Inches | | Shaft Height | Ankle | | Shaft height | Ankle | | Shoe Height Map | Ankle-High | | Sole Material | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate | | Sole material | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate | | Style Name | Safety Boots | | Toe Style | Safety | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | lining-description | Nylon,Leather,Grain | | material-type | oily full grain leather | ## Images ![Alpha Mens SB Classic Safety Steel Toe Lace Up Ankle Boots - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61uzrwNMRHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Normally i wear a uk10.5 due to having wide feet would you recommend sizing down to uk10 in these boots?** A: Hi The feedback we have received is that Grinders come up on the larger side so it would be worth sizing down to a 10. Regards Retro Star **Q: I usually wear a 10 uk size will a 9 fit? Iā€™m buying these this Wednesday 9am** A: Hi, A 9 will not fit. I am presuming you are talking about UK sizes and are based in the UK. Kind regards John **Q: When will you have size uk 10 available?** A: Hi, If Grinders have stock we'll reorder in about a week. So they'll be back in stock in about 10 days. **Q: Do these boots have a steel toe cap?** A: Yes, they have full safety features. They are yet to be worn as are a present but they appear to be sturdy and well made ## Customer Reviews ### āāāāā Comfortable , stylish work boots. *by U***H on 9 March 2026* The boots are very well made. After couple of weeks use the leather was soft enough for a comfortable all day wear. Sizing is proper UK Fitting, so size down. Good year welted and comfy wedge outsole. My only criticism would be the lack of deeper grooves on the sole, so might slip in muddy or wet conditions. 9/10 ### āāāāā Wow, amazing quality and affordable moctoe boots! *by C***E on 20 March 2025* Wow, I'm not a Moctoe boot expert but these feel like really good boots. The materials feel like high quality and very stiff leather, the soles are solid and the fit is excellent. I'm wearing these for work, riding my motorbikes and just casual, these boots just do it all. The price gives good value money as other moctoe boots are typically very expensive. The fit wears a little larger, although not a full size up, it still feels a bit bigger and thicker socks should be warn. The stitching looks and feels robust. Overall, I am very impressed, my only criticism of these boots is the laces which I swapped out straight away for some thicker laces. ## Frequently Bought Together - Grinders Mens Alpha Brown Steel Toe Cap Safety Work Boots (Numeric_11) - H&S Ab Roller for Strength Training Equipment - Abs Sit Up Exercise Wheel for home gym with Extra Thick Knee Pad Mat - Ab Trainer w/Dual Glide Wheels - Grinders Boots Mens Black Oily Leather 7 Eyelet Alpha Safety Steel Toe & Midsole --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - šŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** ā€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - šŸŒ **Shop Globally** ā€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - šŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** ā€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - šŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** ā€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - šŸ”’ **Secure Payments** ā€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ā **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** ā€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/361503418-alpha-mens-sb-classic-safety-steel-toe-lace-up-ankle](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/361503418-alpha-mens-sb-classic-safety-steel-toe-lace-up-ankle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
