I’ve been using Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey for a while now, and it’s honestly lived up to all the hype. The Vanilla Ice Cream flavor is super smooth and versatil it isn't overly sweet or fake-tasting, and it mixes perfectly into oats, smoothies, or just plain cold water without leaving any of those annoying chalky lumps at the bottom. It digests really well with zero bloating, which is a massive plus, and it gives me exactly what I need for muscle recovery after a tough workout. Overall, the quality and consistency are top-tier, making it easily worth every penny. Definitely getting 5 stars from me!

I saw some reviews of this that were a bit "meh" on the flavor. But, I found the vanilla ice cream flavor to be quite good. One of the better flavors I've experienced in a protein powder generally. It's a versatile powder in that you can make it with just milk (cow, soy, oat, etc) or use it to up the protein level of yogurt, fluffs, or other macro recipes. It mixes well in cow milk. I placed a cup of milk and a scoop of powder in a martini shaker, and shook for 30 seconds. It mixed perfectly ... smooth with no lumps. The texture and flavor of a melted vanilla milk shake. 24 grams of protein per scope is perfect, and promotes fullness.

I’m really impressed with this protein! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The vanilla flavor is delicious without being overly sweet, and it mixes really well. I love how versatile it is—I can use it in different things without getting tired of the flavor. It dissolves easily, and I haven’t experienced any GI upset, which is a huge plus for me. It also keeps me feeling full for a long time, and apparently my kids agree because they’re constantly trying to steal sips! 😂 Overall, this has quickly become a protein I actually look forward to using. Definitely a 5-star product!

I’ve been buying this protein for a while now. It mixes really well in my shaker, tastes like vanilla ice cream, and isn’t overly sweet. I even add it to my coffee sometimes, and it tastes great. It’s also reasonably priced compared to a lot of other protein powders, so for me it’s an easy way to hit my protein goals without spending a fortune. I’ll definitely keep buying it.

I have had bad experiences with protein powder in the past because I have sensitive gag reflexes when it comes to drinks. In the past protein powder has been a no-go due to its famous chalky taste. This protein powder blends smoothly, and doesn’t leave a chalky taste in my mouth. I bought the small tub of vanilla ice-cream flavor because I didn’t want to try it, not like it, then be stuck with a giant tub. I feel like every penny that I spent was worth it because the quality was unmatched. The scoop comes in the tub, and it was very accessible, so I didn’t feel like I was contaminating the whole bin when reaching for it so it feels very clean to me. I use it to make Greek yogurt/fruit shakes in the morning. The sweetness of the protein powder is enough that I don’t feel the need to add other sweeteners. I will drink a protein shake for breakfast, and be good until lunch. I’m excited to try other flavors. I well have to update this review when I finish my first tub/try other flavors.

Das Gold Standard Whey gehört für mich nicht ohne Grund zu den bekanntesten Proteinpulvern auf dem Markt. Geschmacklich ist die Sorte Vanilla Ice Cream wirklich gelungen. Sie schmeckt angenehm nach Vanille, ohne zu künstlich oder übertrieben süß zu wirken. Natürlich gibt es günstigere Proteinpulver. Einige davon sind auch völlig in Ordnung, geschmacklich kommen sie meiner Meinung nach aber oft nicht ganz an dieses hier heran. Gerade wenn man regelmäßig Shakes trinkt, macht das auf Dauer schon einen Unterschied. Die Löslichkeit ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Pulver lässt sich schnell im Shaker mischen und ergibt einen angenehm cremigen Shake. Preislich ist es zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt für mich noch im Rahmen. Es gehört zwar nicht zu den günstigsten Produkten, bewegt sich aber noch in einem Bereich, den ich für die gebotene Qualität nachvollziehen kann.
