works great. I don't use it a lot but the 2 times I did I helped.

This is great for helping your digestion in many ways...keeps up stomach acid and helps with digestion of foods and other supplements you may be taking.

I have cleared my throat all my life hacked 'cat hair balls' my dad used to fuss at me for the 'habit' he called it...I couldn't help it ...I been on these 3 weeks...I just cough occasionally but totally changed the flem...73 years old...thats a long time for clearing your throat!

I started taking this with meals three years ago to wean myself off Prilosec, which I had been taking twice a day. After three months, no more GERD. I still take it to this day to increase my stomach acid for digesting food. It works great for me.

Mentioned reflux to my doctor and he put me on Protonix (Pantoprazole). After a few weeks my reflux was worse and my rosacea flare ups were the worst I've ever had (this is going back 20 years). Stopped the Protonix and started taking this Betaine HCL/Pepsin and it seems to be helping. I'm still ramping up dosage (up to 6 capsules at dinner), which I think my be my max, some discomfort and what appears to be acid reflux so will scale back. I believe I have what is considered "silent reflux" which does not generate the burning from acid reflux, but a phlegm/cough throughout the day. It appears this can be caused by too little stomach acid, so the HCL seems to be helping. Regarding rosacea, there is information that indicates that low stomach acid may cause skin problems like rosacea. The HCL seems to helped reduce my flare ups following the Protonix issue mentioned above. I believe rosacea is triggered primarily from GI/stomach issues and hope to see further improvement with the HCL going forward. I give 4 stars only because I have only been taking for a few weeks but could update to a 5 star at a later date.

So grateful for this product! I do not make enough stomach acid and my digestion is quite slow. This helps me absorb more nutrients and break down the high protein meals I eat. I will always have a bottle at home and bring a small capsule with a few in my purse for when I eat out.

I was told by my natural path to take these supplements a few years ago for my stomach issues. He did not tell me to take a different amount depending on how much protein i eat in a meal. I wasn't fond of the slight burning that i got from taking 6 pills for a yogurt breakfast. I ended up not taking them for very long because of this. Now years later im determined to get my guts under control! I researched how to properly take HCL. Its completely adjustable depending on what you are eating. I found that i should take 2 or 3 pills if im having around 13 grams of protein. If i eat say a hamburger then i take 6 pills. If by some reason i have taken too much and my stomach gets a little warm i eat a few more grams of protein and I feel fine. HERE IS A LIST OF WHAT HCL HAS DONE FOR ME; Almost immediately I started having normal bathroom habits, thank GOD! My very bad acne prone skin is super clear! My dark circles and sunken eyes look bright and normal! Im sure it has done way more good stuff inside my body that im not aware of too. Also i take vyvanse a type of ADHD medication that makes my acid reflux 1000x worse, by taking HCL i can finally take my much needed meds with out feeling like im dying! This is my 3rd bottle and i will keep on taking it as long as i need to. This is such a wonderful product and the exact brand my natural path recommend so i know its a trustworthy company. Just do your research and adjust the dosage and i confident you will have a better digestive system too!
