SPI Home Octopus Pillar Candelabra

I hesitated in buying this candelabrum because of the price. But now that I've had it home for a few days I can say that it is worth the money. Although it's faux bronze it still feels and looks like a substantial piece of bronze sculpture. The five light bases can accommodate candles up to 3 inches in diameter. (But if using naked wax pillars you would want to use something smaller so that the base can catch the melted wax.) There is no spike in these bases. This means you can put jarred candles and flame-less candles on them too. I have even put tealights on them. About the only thing I guess you can't use (besides candles wider than the bases) would be tapers. I'm so glad I purchased this. It's fun, sophisticated, and throws off lots of light.

what a conversation piece. looks great IN the fireplace. a real unique statement. JAN 13 2019. i answered a question on the size of this in the Q&A section. the dimensions i gave were 21"W and 17"-18" tall. my measurements vary from others because i based this on the size of the fireplace it sits in. [ it is used spring/summer/fall and is away for the winter.] it is OVERALL size, taking into account how far the tentacles-candle plates stick out, not just the base.

This candelabra is very unique and pretty, but it is not sturdy at all. You have to be very careful not to move it while candles are lit. It’s much heavier on one side than the other and it falls easily.

The first time I ordered this the three-candle version was sent. I wanted the five-candle version so badly that I took a chance and ordered another one (based in the faith of all of the other reviewers). I’m so glad I did. The five-candle version is wonderful. My lease only allows for one octopus in the living room, so the three-candle one will have to go back.

I had my eye on this for a while and finally bought it. What a disappointment! It’s not at all like the picture and it’s black not bronze. It is very lightweight and the sections that are the base for the candles are not flat. Very disappointing and not worth the price.

I love the design but I think there is a design flaw with weight balancing. If you pull a candle off of the highest pillar while having candles on all the other pillars, it tips over. I wish I could return or exchange with a better weighted object that doesn’t tip. Really wanted to love this

I was eyeing this for awhile, and frankly, it’s one of my favorite home decor purchases I’ve ever made. It goes perfectly with the other seaside decor in my living room!

This cheers me up so much and puts a smile on my face. Some friends think it’s a bit ridiculous but that makes me love him even more! Well made
