Checkmate FlyWrite Cockpit Writing Pad

As a student pilot, cockpit management can be a little overwhelming when getting started. These pads help keep me organized. I fill out my plane, v speeds, and airport information before I leave to go fly. Once I get the radios set up in the plane, I jot down the ATIS, destination, cruise altitude, and expected runway/taxiways. I can make a quick note if the tower gives me left or right pattern, when it's busy it can switch after each touch and go. Taxi/ramp info after I land. And the biggest bonus, I do my own post flight debrief right in the notes box which proves handy when reviewing past flights. I also have an iPad Mini and Foreflight, but OMG, I just can't write on the scratchpad, at least not that I can read afterwards.

I mostly fly VFR, and I have been using these for the last 4 years. They work great and I recently ran out, and was looking for something to replace it, but honestly, they worked so well, I ordered more.

I had just started taking flying lessons when I bought this pad. It is perfect to copy down the weather and clearance, and scribble notes while flying. It fits very well in my kneeboard case by just sliding the cardboard back into the middle section where the metal kneeboard slides in.I fly in the DFW area, so talking with ATC is a must and it’s nice to be able to quickly jot down their instructions. I’d definitely recommend this for any pilot who isn’t using an iPad for their EFB, student or pro alike. Or just to have as a paper backup would be handy as well.

I am a student pilot and have been using these my last couple of flights. Great to have on a kneeboard for quick note-taking and ASOS/AWOS information when transitioning between airports.

Well organized for the flow of most trips. Not rocket science but just a good document that helps me stay ahead of things.

The top of the pad is useless when you are using a clip board. You can't reach it. Otherwise it works very well. I use it all the time.

Awesome design that follows the flow of ATC clearance. Covers all the important information for flight prep. Designed for sim use but I use them irl too. Much more organized than a legal pad.

Very nice size and useful to have in cockpit.
