Turned a frozen, blocked coil back into bright and shiny, no rinse needed
Had a coil on my AC that was a real mess, smoke and tar buildup had basically coated everything, and it had gotten bad enough that the system was freezing up and blocking airflow. Used this to clean it and honestly didn't expect it to make that much of a difference. The coil came out bright, shiny, and clean. No more freeze ups since, the system runs the way it's supposed to. Wish I'd known about this stuff years ago. I used to manage and maintain rental properties, and this would've saved me a lot of headaches dealing with dirty coils back then. No rinse needed, just sprays on and does the work. This product is fantastic & the real deal.

How to save $600 in one easy lesson.
Cleaning A/C coils isn't rocket science. I used this product on both the inside and outside coils with great success. I have a coil brush to help remove things like dryer lint, leaves, palm tree detrius, and the like. I spray the coils from the opposite side of the air flow (which pushes the dirt towards the outside surface), let it sit for several minutes, then GENTLY brush the coils with the grain to loosen embedded debris. The outside coil, I flood the coils from the inside toward the outside to push out the dirt (use an open ended hose or a "flood" sprayer - being careful not to bend the coil fins). The inside coils make their own "rinse" from the condensate. Takes about 30 minutes per unit because some disassembly is required to get to the inside coils and condensate pan. As an added bonus, you can add some New Calgon "Pan Treat" to clean the scum from the condensate pan (and get rid of "dirty sock" syndrome). Helps keep the "biological material" down in your air handler.

Air flows great and BTU exchange is back to where it should ...
Worked very well. Air flows great and BTU exchange is back to where it should be! Be sure to clean off any excessive dirt/hair/debris first! I used a soft bristle brush attachment on my shop vac being careful not to bend the fins over. Much cheaper and just as easy as calling a pro in!

It didn't hurt anything and I feel better for having used it
I tend to obsess a bit about the wee beasties that breed in the cool damp environment of the A/C evaporator. I like things to be healthy and clean, who doesn't? I used this cleaner because it was safe for the plastic pan in my evaporator. Lots of cleaners will eat plastic so be sure you check for that when choosing one. It turns out that my coil, even though pretty old for a coil, was still clean probably due to the electronic air cleaner that sits ahead of it. Also I am a fanatic about keeping filters clean. I sprayed this as recommended on the coil anyway since I had the evap housing all opened up. The smell was pleasant and it seemed to wash down the coil very nicely. The scent went away within a hour and was a pleasant smell anyway. So for all my effort all I can say is that my clean coil is a little cleaner, perhaps I killed some germs, and it was good to see the pan wash down nice and clean due to the detergent action. I'd say this is good stuff and I have plenty left over to use again next year.

Works very well on evaporator coil
I filled a cheap garden pump, mixing the product with water as instructed. I removed the cover and then evap side covers and sprayed down the coil. I didn't do any scrubbing and the coil came out with a nice shine. I also sprayed around the inside of the plenum and the drip pan. Honestly, its harder to climb up into my attic than it is to clean with this product. I wish I could have bought a smaller quantity but I'll use the remainder outside on the compressor in the Spring. Only advice I can give is to open windows when you turn on your air handler after cleaning. Otherwise, your house will fill with the smell of this cleaning product. The odor can be pretty strong. Also, I read the warnings and wore painters overalls but next time I won't bother. I'll just use gloves and safety goggles.

Didn't work for my central air conditioner evaporator coil.
I used an HDX 1 Gallon Multi-Purpose Pump Sprayer followed the directions and mixed this with water 1 to 3 ratio. Spray the evaporator coil really well and let it sit for 20 minutes. Went back to help rinse it and it didn't look much different. I sprayed it for the 2nd time but still didn't look much different. This product didn't work for my indoor coil. Very disappointed.
