Easy to assemble, although plan on devoting a lot of time to fluffing and arranging. This is a very full tree. As others have mentioned, it is very scratchy so long sleeves and maybe even gloves is not a bad idea. But the same qualities that make it scratchy I feel also make it study. We've lost heirloom ornaments from weak branches and I feel that this one will be a lot more secure.
