I am currently studying for the bar exam so I spend most of my day sitting at my desk. When I would sit at my desk before, my legs would often fall asleep because of how they rested on edge of my desk chair, my posture was terrible which meant I always had back and neck pain, and, of course, sitting for hours straight would lead to a very sore backside. I bought this product knowing I would not be able to study for 8-10 hours a day if being in my chair put me in constant pain and I needed to prevent that. I have had this product for almost a week now (I wanted to wait to review until I tested it out for a bit) and it has saved my life. It is so comfortable and my back is supported, my legs don't go numb, and my backside isn't sore after sitting for a few hours. The only drawback is that the back support doesn't stay in place unless I'm leaning against it HOWEVER that is only because my chair back is shaped like an upside-down triangle so the straps sliding was inevitable and I expected it. That drawback is because of the shape of my chair, not the product itself. the lumbar pillow stays put supports my back just fine when I lean against it. Also, the material on the pillow is so soft and removable so I can wash it. Another nice perk is that even in the heat and humidity of a New England summer with no air conditioning, my back, legs, and backside don't get extra sweaty because the gel memory foam actually keeps you cool. Overall, I highly recommend this product. I normally don't write reviews for products but I am so happy with this product that I had to. It works exactly as advertised and has saved me a lot of pain and discomfort.

Note: I've only had this cushion set for a week, so I will follow-up on this review someday. I have nothing to which to compare this specific cushion set, but it's a far sight more comfortable than any raw chair upon which I've sat for any extended period of time -- even those fancy several-thousand-dollar ergonomic desk chairs. Most of my issues with pain and numbness are gone. This cushion won't fix my long-term core muscle and nerve pain issues, but at least it helps keep my job a bit more pain-free. I can freely rock and reposition myself on the bottom cushion without discomfort. My circulation in my legs has improved considerably. My only issues with this set: 1. They get super warm from my body heat, making it uncomfortably hot at my desk unless I have the a/c or a fan running. 2. The back cushion does not stay firmly in-place. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it makes it easier to adjust my posture naturally (and have the cushion move to adapt and support my lumbar). Still, it might be nice to have a strap harness which goes over the top of the chair and intersects with the other straps. 3. The plastic sliding buckles on the adjustable straps for the back cushion have no "bite", so once I found the optimal tension, I had to tie the adjustment straps in a knot in order to maintain the tension I chose. Oh well -- it's not like I'll be moving it from chair to chair. An added bonus I never in my wildest imagination thought would matter: thanks to the coccyx hole in the seat cushion, I no longer have to tilt to one side and lift a leg to comfortably and quietly let out a fart.

Full time desk job. Have had nagging sciatic pain for years. Decided to try one of these goofy looking pillows. I've had this set for a couple of weeks now and it seems to be making a difference. Pain level is noticeably lower everyday and some days I don't even notice any discomfort until I'm halfway through my commute home. There are two draw backs on the seat cushion. No 1 - It really compresses under my 225 lbs. No 2 - "Cooling Gel," not so's you'd notice. This is a bun warmer for sure. Pain relief is worth the sweaty tush. Overall a good item and worth the price.

This cushion set has been a lifesaver. My desk chair cushion has gotten pretty flat and sad, and doesn't do much to support my lower back or butt for a long period of sitting. I've been working on comprehensive exams for my degree program for the past few days, which entails a minimum of 8-9 hours a day spent sitting at the computer and frantically writing, and I haven't had any back or butt pain once. Which is incredible. The cushion supports me perfectly, and the lumbar cushion is great because I can adjust it depending on how I'm sitting. It's definitely improved my computer posture, and I love, love, love that I can sit for so long without any pain. The highlights of this cushion set, for me, are as follows: 1) The cooling gel rocks. I love sitting on it with shorts because the back of my legs gets tingly and cool. I live in a warm, humid city, so this is really important to me. I don't get sweaty or overheated after long periods of sitting. 2) The lumbar support pillow is adjustable. Sometimes I want higher support to promote me sitting up straighter. Sometimes I want actual lumbar support. Adjusting the pillow is just a matter of sliding it up or down a bit, and it stays put like a champ. 3) Long periods of sitting are no longer miserable. I feel great when I get up! No more pain! 4) This may be specific to my chair, but there is still sufficient room for me to tuck one of my legs up on the chair without hanging over the edge. The cushion itself looked small when I first put it on the chair, but it does a great job of supporting me in all the right places. Overall, super happy with this one. I hope it lasts a long time.

I have back issues that stem from a car accident. I have 6 bulging disks. This caused me a great deal of pain when sitting in the same spot for extended periods. This cushion has helped so much. I have a new job that required me to be at my desk for most of the day. I was dealing with a great deal of pain every day and by the end of the week I had trouble even standing up straight. Since using this cushion set, I can make it all week and experience little pain throughout the day. I even take it with me to church. Sitting on those wooden pews was a killer. Now, I can sit through the entire service without a problem. I've even experienced less neck pain. I think this may be because it corrects my posture while sitting. I highly recommend this set to anyone dealing with chronic back pain.

This is a well made cushion. Nicely finished and provides good cushioning; the back cushion is nicely made and effective, too. HOWEVER, the DIMENSIONS ARE NOT AS REPRESENTED in the specifications section. I sought a larger than average cushion for an oak office chair. Waded through specs of 15-20 cushions to find this one. Claimed size: 19.6 x 16.1 x 6.6. Actual measured size: 18 x 13.5 x 2.5. That's no different than the standard cushions - and inadequate for my use. I'm returning it. Quality would rate 5 stars. Info accuracy is less than 1 star.

I've only had this for a week but so far it's already made a huge difference in my back pain! I have the world's most uncomfortable desk chair but space is limited in my home office so I need a chair that is as small as the one I currently have, and that's been next to impossible to find. This cushion was a much easier and less expensive option than trying to find a new chair. After sitting for several hours, I'm now able to get up easily and without excruciating pain in my back and coccyx. There are a lot of cushions on Amazon but this one is especially nice because it not only includes the bottom part but also the back support piece which easily straps to the back of the chair. The memory foam is comfortable and supportive, and is covered in a very soft, plush material. My back and lumbar areas feel completely supported, and the cut out section on the bottom piece is great for relieving coccyx pain. Highly recommend for anyone who does a lot of sitting in an uncomfortable chair and has horrible back pain. Very happy with this purchase!

I purchased my seat cushion and lumbar support for use in the family car and, to be honest, it was too thick for use in the car. However, for any other situation, be it at your desk, a sporting event, or anywhere else you're in need of a more comfortable sitting experience, I think this cushion is amazing. Compared to other cushions I have used in the past, the U-Are cushion's foam has just the right amount of density (FYI: I weigh approx 150 lbs) - not being too soft and squishy, nor too thick and resistant. This cushion turned my simple desk chair into a plush, super comfy sitting experience. The only reason I am docking one star is due to the off-gassing I experienced with the [memory foam] cushion that I purchased. According to the company, this is not a common occurrence, but the chemical smell was pungent enough that I had to ask for a refund. The owner responded to my inquiry right away and has been extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this cushion and encourage you to choose U-Are out of all of the other cushion manufacturers selling similar products on amazon.
