Born and bred in Cannock so this book looked intriguing. However for me it did not deliver at all.It is poorly written and I laughed at most of it.There is nothing scary about anything in this book and I read it in under an hour. Maybe should have been published under ‘Ladybird’?! Lee says at the end that he is taking a break from investigating and reporting for a while - phew thank goodness for that!As Lee is a local man i have given it two stars otherwise it would have been one star.

As an amateur paranormal investigator myself, I found this a very informative and enjoyable read, especially as it was about an area near where I lived as a child. I was disappointed when the book came to an end, as I just wanted to keep reading more. Hope the author decides to write more in the future, or maybe do a podcast on YouTube, that type of thing.

Growing up in Cannock chase I can testify that it is a very strange place, I remember hearing many of these stories from being a teenager and trying to spook each other out. There are a few newer stories which I hadn’t heard before - some which definitely gave me goosebumps! Would definitely recommend giving this book a read, will be sharing the stories with local family on Halloween night. Some of these places I drive past everyday!!

I have just finished 'Ghosts of Cannock Chase' and it is a scary read! I remember some of the tales from when I was a kid - especially the Dick Slee and the Black-Eyed Girl ones - and they brought back memories of my friends sharing ghost stories and frightening each other stupid. I recommend this book - but not at bedtime!
