Excellent for building complexity with young ones!
While the overall premise of the game is is very simple (all of the rules fit on the front and back of one small sheet), the ability to add difficulty, complexity, and challenge are all there. This is the first game that my now 5 year old has truly needed no assistance in managing her own cards and turns and "strategy." It is a slower and more complex game than the likes of Candyland or Chutes and Ladders, and there is more ebb and flow back and forth amongst players. The "obstacle" penalties very smartly affect all other players, so there isn't really any possibility of ganging up on just one player unfairly. The balance of strategy and chance is a great one for kids in the 5-10 year old range. Very glad that we picked this game up and it will absolutely remain in rotation for game night.

Simple Game with fun graphics
The good and the bad is that this game is really simple. 2 decks of cards and one die that you might use as little as once per game. As a grown man it does not offer much to keep my interest, but my 5 y/o daughter is a fan. This is probably a good introduction to table top gaming, and it introduces fantasy/ adventuring party type of elements without getting so bogged down that younger kids can't play it. To sum up I would say this game is probably as fun as you make it. If you lean in to roleplaying and bring your own creativity to it, it will be fun to play a handful of times before you move on to something more complicated.

What a charming game!
My son just loves this. It's unique, it has strategy ... it get them to think ahead but is also playable without the strategy. It has fun story arcs and characters. I love that this is a small business ... it's a bit pricey -- but worth it!

Fantasy Game for Kids!!!
This game is so much fun! I was so bored with all the typical games we play with our 5 year old and I stumbled upon this. It is a perfect balance of fun, competition, and fantasy. Even my mom who is in her 70s loved it! The game design is so cute and I loved reading about the family who created this games story, which was included inside. I will be buying this for future birthday parties!

Our family’s new favorite game!!
Our family loves this game!! It was super easy to learn, and tons of fun for our 3.5 year old and 6 year old boys (and actually pleasant & fun for us as the parents). You have a hand of cards that are your options for movement, and along the way you collect gems that you will use at the end to try to convince the dragon to come help you! A change we’ve made to help it be more “cooperative” is that we’ll stack 2+ of the dragons at the end, and our group needs to convince all of them to come with us (so everyone has a chance to use their gems and roll the dice at the end). For our younger son, we have to help him “strategize” a bit with his movement, but he’s starting to catch on quickly and loves each time we play. Love the artwork, and the box is nice and small so doesn’t take up a ton of space. Would highly recommend, and have already done so to many friends, haha!
