Really good for what it is.
Short version: If you need something to hold a phone on a mic stand, this is fairly inexpensive and will do the job.So, this is the 2nd one of these that I've had. The first one got left at a gig. I use a tablet and tablet holder probably 80% of the time. But, occasionally the wifi is too sketchy, or cell reception is too poor to use it as a hotspot, so just using the phone becomes the best option for needing to look something up on the fly.If it were reversed and I were using a phone holder the majority of the time, I would get something a little nicer/better. But, this holder is totally functional and works. The 'issues' come in that it's just a little more awkward and cumbersome to use, and it's just not as 'solid' of a design. The adjustable mechanism does a good job of allowing the holder to be used on different sizes, but it doesn't always stay in place very well when setting it up, and I've found myself needing to tighten and loosen the thing a couple of times to get it to fasten properly. The set/tightening screw is long (cool), but means that it takes longer to get into position. It pretty much needs to be completely torqued or removed while installing and removing the holder, so it just adds more time. The locking mechanism also has those orange plastic pads that you can see, and I've had one fall off a couple of times. Not a big deal, they just snap on and off, but it results in more time being used finding it and putting it back on.Ideally, something like this should be a 30 seconds or under install sort of thing, and often it just isnt 🤷♂️ I've let someone borrow it a couple of times, and both times I've had to take extra time getting it set up for them. It *is* intuitive, in the sense that you can look at it and figure it out without instructions, but it's not intuitive to the same degree that some of the other ones are that are basically, "Put on, turn, tighten."Also, the 1st one that I got was pretty solid. The 2nd one that I got had some small quality things that popped up as soon as I opened it. The little bolt that the bset screw tightens into didn't stay in place well (definitely don't want to loose that), and the ball-in-socket that connects the two main pieces together wasn't as solid as on the first one. None of it was a big deal. I tinkered with it a little bit, used a dab of glue, and it's pretty much fine now.The phone-holding clip is surprisingly strong. I use an LG V60, which is on the bigger and heavier end of the major manufacturers and is also in a case with a grip/card-holder on the back, and it holds it with no problems. There's open air behind where the actual phone is, so this design seems really good for big cases, or ones with extra stuff on the back like mine does.Anyway, I'm honestly not going to knock this thing too much, just trying to be objective about it. For around $8, it's a really good little holder to have for occasional use, or if you don't have one at all and just need something that does it's job. If that's what you need, I would totally recommend it. If you are looking to get your 'forever holder', I would probably wait and look at other options.

Great for the price...but hard to setup
Once it's attached it's great. But moving from stand to stand is time-consuming.

You get what you pay for
I mean, it's cheap and plastic. How much abuse do you think it'll stand up to? The answer is: not much. I had mine for a couple of months, gigged out with it every time. The adjustable locking bracket is a bit of a pain. It seems you practically have to fully unscrew the bolt (and it's excessively long) to get the bracket to move to whatever size you're getting to. And then you have to practically screw the bolt all the way back in, all the way down to the bolt grip, in order to keep it somewhat tight around the mic stand.Anyway, I got tired of taking it off and on every time for setup/break down, and left it on the stand after a gig. When I got home I found it broken in pieces from a little movement on the road. Eh, no huge loss. Like I said, you get what you pay for.One pro: the spring-loaded clamp that holds the phone is fairly strong. I never worried about the phone slipping out.I did give it two stars on Sheerness. I don't know how to evaluate the sheerness of a mic stand phone holder, but I figure 2 stars is fair.

Cool product!.... sturdy and secure!
I really like this product!.... very sturdy and holds phone securely... looks and works great!... the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because if using a regular vertical mic stand, u can’t position ur phone sideways(landscape mode)... the clamp doesn’t position that way... not a big deal because your product description did not say that it could be used this way, so no harm no foul... would definitely buy again!

Not the best for all needs
This clip is best used for instances where you won't be moving the clip often. Screwing and unscrewing the clip takes a while. I have used clips that connect to the mic stand that are clip on and not screw on. Those are much faster in my opinion. That said, this clip performs as expected.

Wants to be Great!
Ez to use. Not quick to disassemble from microphone stand. A quick release mechanism would be great improvement. Cell phone slides Down if you touch it as I do to play songs. Either more aggressive rubber to grip or a bottom holder/adjustment would be great improvement.Wants to be great but isn’t as it is.

The most perplexingly effect mount for things I may own
Does it work? Yes. Does it terrify you that any moment it may drop your phone? Yes. Is it cheap and hard to mount? Very Yes. It's a cheap mount that does the job, albeit in a very awkward and terrifying way - but a few months in is still fine, so I'm probably too harsh on it.

Weak clamp. Phone falls out.
I received this product in February 14 and used it for less than 30 days (today is March 9). First of all I don’t like the angle at which it attaches to the microphone stand. It is impossible to adjust it to be perpendicular to the mic. But most importantly, after nightly use (I put my phone in the clamp every night and remove it in the morning) the spring in the clamp is worn and the phone falls out (and on my face!!). I was using it as a bedside phone holder. I should go into bedside phone holder design. I bet I would make a fortune solving all these problems.
