Review: My first G-Shock! - Got the GA700. I picked this series because I love the large round face with Analog. It gives a crown look in face that is undeniable. I got this watch for my daily life and for work, (Proud Blue Collar here)! I am into simplicity and this watch fits that bill. I see a lot of mixed reviews when it comes to the negative displays and I'd like to set the record straight on this. Negative displays are for a stealth look. Yes G Shock could have done better with the lighting but I feel as though people are missing the point of the look. Anyways please don't buy a negative display just to complain how you can't see it in low lighting. My $1000 Movado can't be seen in the dark either, go figure. Anyways, in mid to bright settings, it is easy enough to see. The light I believe was only meant for the analog hands to be seen in dark settings. Can be toggled between 1 and 3 seconds. There's a few good tutorial videos to help you adjust your G Shock as it can be complex for some. It fits comfortably on my tiny wrist. I have the wrist of a 12 year old but I ain't 12 lol. I plan to wear this every day, though you may find the 2100 series is better suited for daily wear if you don't care too much for large pieces. I love the large look and feel, it gives an authoritve presence while remaining stealthy. Other models to look at are their Bluetooth/Tough Solar series. Those add even greater value. As for me I wanted simple and I think this one is the King of that. Enjoy!

**Q: Whats the difference between this one (ga-700-1bcr), (ga-700-1bjf), and (ga-700-1ber)? they all look the same watch, but price goes from $77-$104-$169**
A: There is not aesthetic difference, they are all the same. The 1BCR is intended for the American market, the 1BER is intended for the European market and the 1BJF is made for the Japan market.

**Q: i cant find replacement bands with metal buckle...anywhere. is there a different g-shock watch with exact band i could use for a reference? Thanks**
A: Yes, many of the G-Shock models use the same band with the metal buckle. The GA-100-1A1, GA-100C-8, GA-100MB-1A... basically most of the GA-100 series. They are the same width size and use a metal buckle.

Got the GA700. I picked this series because I love the large round face with Analog. It gives a crown look in face that is undeniable.
