These are great. This is our 3rd pair. NOT BECAUSE we needed to replace them. Because we love them. When you lock them the stay very close together which makes them easy to store. They are very durable and great quality. Just toss them in the dishwasher, they hold up great.

People asked if it is easy to clean. I know I asked that. The answer isn't quite as straightforward as I first thought, because if all that touched the food was the silicone tongs part--yes, it is super easy. However, if, in order to retrieve foods, you have to poke down through hot oil or sauce to a depth that surpasses where the silicone ends and goes into the channel above the tongs (which forms the handle)---then it isn't so easy. A kitchen sponge won't fit--not even a smaller one. I am not usually that particular, but had an Oriental sauce that was sticky and dark in color, and I wanted to be sure it was all removed. Living alone now, I don't run the dishwasher that often anymore, but I had to save up a load quickly, just because of this issue. The handles could be made just a bit wider so they would be easier to clean inside where the strip that runs the length covers the handles is attached, and then it would again be yet another excellent OXO product.

These tongs are great! I brought them to use with my enameled pans and they are perfect. Love that they are dishwasher safe too.

I purchased these silicon tiped tongs to use with my Hexclad pans. It's a perfect match. These tongs are a well made, heavy-duty product that should last a lifetime.
