SOULWIT Earpads for Sony WH-1000XM2(XM2) & MDR-1000X - Black

The Backstory: I bought my Sony WH-1000XM2s back in 2018 while visiting Japan. They have been my absolute favorite headphones for years and have truly stood the test of time. However, as you can see in my "Before" photo, the original earpads had finally given up. They were shredded and flaking, making them almost impossible to wear comfortably. Instead of replacing the whole unit, I tried these SOULWIT cushions, and I am not disappointed. The Installation (Watch for the Orientation!): The kit includes a small blue plastic prying tool that makes the process much safer than using a kitchen knife. - The "Click": Removing the old ones is straightforward with the tool. When installing the new ones, they are designed to "click" into the factory clips. - My Pro-Tip: On one side, I initially struggled to get the clips to engage. I realized I needed to flip the pad (top-to-bottom). Once I rotated it, it clicked into place perfectly in seconds. If it feels like it’s not seating right, don’t force it—just try flipping the orientation. The Result: The instructions are very easy to follow, and the "added thickness" of these pads is a welcome upgrade over the flattened originals. They feel plush and create a solid seal again. Why I recommend these: - Restores ANC: Because the seal is tight again, the noise cancellation feels like it did on day one. - Budget-Friendly: For a small investment, I saved a pair of premium headphones I’ve owned for 6+ years. - Complete Kit: You don’t need any extra tools; everything you need is in the box. Bottom Line: If you love your XM2s as much as I do, don't retire them just because the leather is peeling. These pads made my 2018 headphones feel brand new again. Just be patient with the alignment, and you’ll be back to listening in no time!

Product as described. Installation was simple and quick. Headphones look new again.

Fits but less quality feel than original and a bit stiffer but light, so ok

I had recently acquired a set of used WH1000XM2s from a close friend that had replaced them with XM5s. I absolutely adore them and love the sound quality, but the ear pads were starting to show wear and just were kinda gross after 5+ years of use. These replacements came in 2 days, took about 2 minutes to install, and make my headphones feel new. The cushion is taller than the worn original pad and seem to create a better seal for both SQ and noise cancellation. Can’t recommend enough if you have an old set of these excellent headphones.

These were a perfect fit for my 1000 mx2 headset, which now looks like new. Also comfortable and sound quality is as good as the originals. I just installed them, so I can’t comment on durability, but so far no problems and these are highly recommended.

Bought for my wife and she loves them. They fit well and she can easily identify her headset. I would buy from this seller again.

Decent cushion thickness. Easy to replace since it just pops right on. My complaint is that they aren't secure and have popped right off so many times and the original ones did not, but for the price I'd much rather use these than replace my headphones yet.

These ear pads are exactly as described. They fit my phones perfectly because of this. Comfortable, soft and effective. I will need a few months to be able to make a call on quality/longevity.

Diseño muy bonito y cómodas
