This device seems to work well. Better than the cheaper alternatives I have tried. BUT either the instructions are nonsense or the product is defective. It states 'To turn off pull the ignition switch down to the off position. It is not necessary to move the the gas control lever". In reality there is no off position on the ignition switch. The only way to turn off the gas is by closing the gas control lever.

Sparked stopped working within 1 week. The temp control on the lowest setting is way to high. Turn it all the way up and it starts spitting flames all over the place. I almost caught my garage on fire as I threw it away from me as I thought it was gonna explode. Scary tool

Works well but seems to use butane a lot. I found this model and others much less cost than this one. Must get used to heat blowing out from the head end without getting burned!

I can't in honesty give this a 5 yet because I haven't had it very long and only used it once.But I can say that the first time I used it, it worked excellently.In the field, I was able to solder broken 14 awg wires, and then change the head for heat shrink.It started up and ran beautifully every time I initiated it.

Super mobile, most excellent torch I've used. I sometimes prefer to use it more than my desktop soldering station!
