Great quality Ink
This is a very highly rated ink. all the reviews ranked it highly. I now understand why. This is a great shimmering ink. I also use the esterbook variety which seems comparable as well.

Absolutely gorgeous ink, in Shimmering Seas ! I need this in more colors!
I purchased this ink to use in multiple fountain pens and it did not disappoint. From stubs to flexible nibs, it absolutely shone. Sparkled even! I don't understand why anyone would want sheerness in this ink, you'd lose the shimmering effect if the colors were lighter. I purchased the color Shimmering Seas and it's been an absolute blast to use. I will say, you absolutely have to shake the bottle before filling up a fountain pen cartridge. The shimmer sinks to the bottom of the ink bottle and stays there until you shake it up.This ink performed well as both a fountain pen ink and a dip pen ink, with the caveat that I expected 0 shimmer from the ink when I used it with a dip pen. I was surprised it worked well as a dip ink, it had great flow and wasn't too watery or viscous. It also tended to sit well on the top of the page and didn't bleed on more modern papers like some of my other inks. The only weakness of this ink is that it's pretty water soluble. It'll wash off a page, and it will wash off your hands in a day or so. I love this ink and brand and can't wait to get more colors!

Too dark with little shimmer
This ink does have some shimmer to it, but you have to tilt the page to see it. It is as dark as black, making me uncertain as to whether or not it’s eventual intentions is to turn purple at some time.

Fantastic Shimmering Blue
I've experimented with many ink brands, and Diamine is always a go-to for quality and performance and a great price. The Shimmering Enchanted Ocean is no exception. The ink provides good flow with a reasonable dry time and looks fantastic. It's a beautiful deep blue that has a nice sparkling shimmer when it catches light.I typically use the shimmering inks with a medium or broad nib to lay down more ink on the paper in order to achieve a better shimmering effect. However, with this ink, the glitter particles are so fine that it works well with fine nibs. Just be sure to shake ty3 bottle well before drawing it into the pen. I typically shake my pen before writing for good measure.I haven't had any issues with particulate buildup when cleaning this ink out of the pens. I typically stay away from loading a particulate ink in my finer pens, but I feel comfortable with this one.Anyone looking for a nice shimmering blue won't be disappointed.

You have to shake it while you use it
I really like this ink. The shimmer is beautiful in bright light. The gold flakes do settle quickly, so I write a sentence and then roll the pen horizontally in my hands a couple times and then continue. It's not that much of a hassle, I essentially roll it whenever I am thinking of what to write next.

Love it but water erases it immediately and completely
This is one of my favorite ink colors. The color is a rich purple. The ink doesn’t clean out well at all. Very very difficult so I just designated my stipula fountain pen for it. It does shimmer but you have to gently shake up the ink in the pen if you want the shimmer to come out. The bad thing this has is that if water comes near your paper any at all it will make whatever you wrote disappear immediately. I’d doesn’t do well with water at all so be very careful. I was using it on my hobonichi it does very well on that tomoe paper but again if you want it to last... any accidentally water and what you wrote is gone.

Beautiful but annoying
I don't know why I keep buying shimmer inks looking for one that won't clog. This one clogs more than something like Emerald of Chivor but less than something like the Oster Shake n Shimmy inks (which are terrible cloggers). However, it still blocked my feeds on some of my more picky pens. Shimmer inks are very niche and high maintenance -- but then again, so are fountain pens in general so I won't yuck your yum. If you are looking for a nice looking color with a "reasonable" amount of shimmer, this will fit the bill. If you haven't used a shimmer ink before, maybe seek out a sample before investing in a full bottle to see if you can deal with the hassle. Personally, I find heavy sheening inks to be a better option when you're looking for something special.

professional look for personal correspondence
When I am doing creative work I put this ink in my rOtring Fountain Pen, ArtPen, Calligraphy, 1.1 mm and I love it. When I want a subdued sheen for a serious and professional look I use it with a Pilot Metropolitan medium nib. The dry time, saturation, and flow of this ink are superb. It is not a permanent ink so if your pages get wet, they smudge. If my pen is not used in over a week I would not expect the flow to start right up because there are particulates involved. I put a few drops of water on the feed, and the issue is solved. Rather than do that, it's just easier to use the pen every day.I learned from the YouTube channel of the Goulet pen company that it is a good idea to properly distribute the metallic particulates before filling the converter. I rolled the bottle of ink like I was making a play dough snake with my hands. I turned it gently over without shaking it, and rolled as before in the opposite direction. Once I did this for a few minutes, the sparkle was evenly distributed in the bottle. It is best to fill within ten seconds of this process as the sparkle does settle to the bottom in short order. As I write with this ink, I turn and roll two times about every third line. Works great. When refilling I will flush the pen thoroughly. The difference between the first Rhodia dotPad and the second Rhodia dotPad this image is my turning the page 45° with respect to the light source.-JS

Shimmer settles really fast in bottle.
Beautiful dark blue ink with a silver shimmer.I've been very impressed with this ink after trying it with a dip pen and fountain pen (picture is with a fountain pen)After initially using the ink I didn't see any sparkles but after a good shake there was a good concentration of the shimmer/sparkle, so if using this ink with a dip pen it is advised to shake the bottle often when using just so it doesn't settle on the bottom of the bottle.IF it is being used in a fountain pen, I suggest looking at it before writing just to see if the sparkles/shimmer has settled anywhere.

Lovely Ink
A great novelty ink which produces a charming effect. The only trouble is that you need to either flush after each use, or move your pen every day while the ink is in it -- otherwise the glitter particles will settle and may clump or clog the pen. Worth the hassle though if you're illuminating a letter to a 7-year-old niece! :-DThis particular colour is a very deep, dark blue with a fine, subtle, red sheen to it. I use a music nib to write with this ink, so plenty of it comes out onto the paper in each stroke, which doubtless increases the dark lustre. Using a nib which deposits less ink in each stroke might make for a lighter colour.

use a broad nib pen with a good wetter ink flow
this is a beautiful ink which is lovely and shimmery. i used it in a fine nib that writes dry and I kept having to shake the pen to keep the ink flowing. had i realised it will probably be better in a broader nibbed pen with a wetter ink flow or a good old fashioned dip pen. it will be lovely for illuminated lettering and would add a lovely effect if used as a drawing ink or with a paint brush. i have given 5 stars because I cannot fault the ink. inside the box there is a guide sheet that if i had read it before using the ink i would have used a pen more suited to the ink

Beautiful colour!
Diamine inks are great, would highly recommend as they produce well flowing, highly pigmented inks. This shimmering ink is gorgeous, ideal for calligraphy and letter writing but you if you are using an ink well, you might need to shake the well/bottle regularly as I find the glitter settles to the bottom quite quickly and so you lose the shimmering effect.

Not very impressed with this one
The ink isn't as shimmery as I had hoped and it needs to be constantly shaken before every dip of the pen to get any shimmer on it at all as the glittery bits sink to the bottom of the bottle almost immediately, so not the best option for ink wells. I tried it in a fountain pen with a reservoir and it didn't work well with that method either. Not really suitable for my needs.
