Outstanding, came exactly as described and our 4 year old wears it constantly. It has helped tremendously with his frustration and anger. Instead of throwing a tantrum when those big emotions come, he chews on this and it calms him down enough to talk through it. So wonderful, we bought a second one to make sure we're never without it!

A bit thick for my taste but it's helping me stop nail biting so it works.

I bought my son one of the XL tough chewie necklaces thinking that he would be less likely to bite through them and I wouldn't have to pay for costly replacements often. However, he refused them, didn't like them. I'm glad a few months after he persisted on chewing his shirt collars, I decided to give the chewie necklaces a try again and this time I went with the soft texture. It is perfect and it keeps him from chewing up and soaking his shirt collars. I like that they're available in different shapes but that the color is consistent so you know you're ordering the right firmness. We have this dog tag one and the Lego shaped one. He did manage to bite off the end of the Lego necklace, which can pose a choking hazard but thankfully he spit it out. The other criticism I have is that I don't really like the cheap cord and the clasp, especially given the pricey cost of these chewie necklaces.FYI: the cord is easily shortened to adjust to your child' size. Just open the clasp, snip off the excess length of cord, tie a knot at the new end (optional: burn the cord end a bit so it melts and can't fray), and then re-clasp.If you found this review helpful, please let me know!

These necklaces have been a game changer for my 5 year old son with anxiety. He was chewing his fingers till they bled and these necklaces have provided a distraction and healthier alternative. He does not go to school without it and the sturdiness and choice in designs is appreciated! I have recommended this brand to several friends within the school where I work. Highly Recommend!

Out of nowhere last summer, my Lego-addicted 6 year old started chewing on the collar of his t-shirts while he was super focused on building. It was gross for him to walk around with a soggy blob on his shirt, and his collars were getting stretched out and ruining the shirt. Got this, and it gave him something to chew on besides his shirt. Flash forward a few months and he no longer uses this or chews his shirt. Problem solved - money well spent.
