Just received it and the installation was easy! The hose is a little smaller than what I thought but it rolls up so nice! The nozzle that comes with it is quiet as well!

I’ve had this Giraffe Tools Retractable Garden Hose Reel mounted on my porch for just under a year now and I’m overall very happy with it. Mounting was super easy I attached it to a wooden porch support post and the included hardware worked perfectly. Took maybe 15 minutes total with a drill and level — no issues at all. The swivel feature is excellent. The whole reel turns smoothly so the hose doesn’t get twisted or kinked no matter which direction I’m watering. That’s a big convenience I didn’t realize I needed until I had it. The retraction mechanism works really well too. The hose pulls out smoothly and retracts neatly without any tangling or fighting me. It’s satisfying to use. The 100ft hose length is more than enough for my yard and garden beds. I can easily reach every corner of my property without dragging around a heavy hose. The only real downside is the spray gun that comes with it. It feels cheaper than the rest of the reel and unfortunately cracked after one season of regular use. I just replaced it with a better one and the reel itself continues to work great. Overall this is a nicely built hose reel — sturdy, well-designed, and reliable. I’d still recommend it, especially if you plan to upgrade the nozzle anyway. Definitely a 4-star product for me.

I wasn’t sure if hose would rewind at full extension on a pretty steep downhill slope. It worked very well, much to my surprise! What ever you do DONT let it go! It will take off and rewind very fast, possibly breaking the hose stop or rewind.

I bought this in May 2022. It is an okay product. Over time the retraction component will wear down (which I am highly disappointed in how quickly). In my circumstance, it won't retract the last 10' or so feet. I am also noticing there is a small drip starting to happen internally to the box. It is extremely difficult and cumbersome to take the box apart to address any issue inside the box. Frankly, its not worth the hassle to take it apart and fix it, I did that once and won't do that again. Its a decent product for the price, but it just won't stand up over time. Good things about the product: - Hose quality, no rips, tears, etc. (would love a model with a flexzilla type hose) - Swivel feature (it could swivel better with different components, but does the job for the price) - Fairly compact (I have mine mounted inside my garage on the wall) - 2 year warranty Bad things about the product: - Retractable feature (it is very fast until it gets towards the end and then it slows down, or won't finish retracting the full length - Not owner friendly to work on, any internal components are not meant to be accessed easily - Internal hose connection is dripping - Long-term durability (issued started arising about 1 year of ownership) -

I am changing my rating to 5 stars for this company’s outstanding customer support! They are honoring their 2-year warranty and replacing the assembly! ————- We initially liked the retractable hose. It is long and retracts easily. However, in less than a year, the hose is failing. It is not durable. It blisters and bulges and prevents water from flowing. I have left a voice message because no one answers the phone number listed on their website, but doubt my call will be returned. The photos show the bulges, but when under pressure, they are much larger — about an inch and a half wide.

Great item. Easy to use. The hose is plenty long to reach across my yard to water my garden and fill my chickens water. I did switch out the nozzle. We attached it to a wood post in the ground instead of attaching it directly to the house. Not an eyesore. The swivel works smoothly. Best addition to my yard!

Great product so far. I would have given it 5-stars but I had to replace the anchors and lag screws. The anchors were insufficient for red brick and the lag screws are cheaply made. Other than that, this product makes accessing our garden hose so much easier and way more efficient.

Had this unit for about a year. Great quality. Nice to have it auto retract. Nice and durable. Mounted straight to concrete and is locked tight. Included nozzle is of great quality even though it is plastic.
