Good for Special Effects- Not Lightfast
I'm a watercolor comic artist, so my use case is a bit unusual. Generally, I'm not painting art to display on my walls, or to sell at shows, but to scan and reproduce as printed comics and graphic novels. So lightfast concerns, while important, aren't as relevant here as they might be to other artists.I purchased these because I had great experiences with the Super Vision tube supergranulating colors, and I plan on using these paints for interesting special effects on my comic pages. I purchased the tube watercolors early on, the half pans in December, and have not personally had any issues with either type as of yet. I use the tube watercolors as dried half pans, and have no issues reconstituting the paint, and have not noticed any color shifts or degradation, although other artists have expressed these concerns, and it's definitely something to be aware of.The included photo utilizes a variety of super granulating watercolors, but mainly the Super Vision granulating watercolors for simple but effective backgrounds- this was a test to see how well they would work for comic panel backgrounds, and whether or not painting a character around the dried super granulated paint would cause reactivation or bleeding. I am quite pleased with these tests and the results- the granulation splits are quite interesting, and will be useful in creating emotive and emotionally expressive backgrounds. Due to the fugitivity concerns, I will limit when I use them (don't want ALL my pages fading!), but I think occasional use when the panel calls for it is worth the precautions necessary. So if you're painting for reproduction (cards, stickers, comic pages, ect), and don't care if the colors eventually shift or fade, or if you're a fan of other somewhat fugitive products like alcohol markers (very light fugitive) or Brusho (also dye-based), I think you'll have fun with these, but I can't recommend them for art you wish to display or art you wish to sell.

Solid colors, not as high quality as Windsor Newton
I normally use acrylics, but after playing with some of my spouses watercolors I wanted my own set.The pigment saturation is good. I can’t attest to the colorfastness.I like the pallet, it is sturdy with and honestly the reason I picked this set. I’m a sucker for the magnets on the top. Regular pans can be subbed in for the current color set if you have a favorite from another brand.I swatched them using wet on wet on cold press watercolor paper from the art store. The color pigment was very impressive but not as easy to manipulate IMO as better known high quality brands (spouse uses Winsor & Newton).I thought that the pallet was lacking for not having a white, but that is easily remedied by purchasing a separate gauche or using a white pen.Enough color variety that you won’t need to worry about mixing custom colors. There are a solid set of both warm and cool hues, with easy mixing of complementary colors.I can’t complain. It is a solid set. Forgive my handwriting, I write like a drunk monkey.

Best paints!
These are the best watercolor paints I’ve bought, high pigment, paints on smooth. I’d highly recommend them.

Great gift
This paint set had decent reviews and a good mix of colors. My husband wanted it for a gift for our adult daughter. The package was nice looking and gave the image of good quality.I will have to ask how they actually do.

Not worth the hype
I bought into the hype. Saw a review of the product and figured I’d try it out. It came a lot sooner than I anticipated, which I’m thankful for, but the case itself didn’t wow me as expected. The wooden base has a few places where it has small hits, and the top resin cover came with the resin shavings, not to mention that it’s misaligned to the wooden base. You notice the misalignment when you hold it, not so much asIt’s not a bad product, but the quality control seems dubious at best. I wouldn’t buy it for $70 if I were you.

Too expensive for amount of paint!!
If you are looking for a superb set of watercolors with great pigments, transparency all worth your money, this is not the set! If you are looking for an artist’s set that’s worth your money with all the bells and whistles, try Mission Gold/Mijello or Daniel Smith and even M. Graham!!! Now if you are looking for the Super Vision Layers Watercolors try those instead but these Super Vision are full of normal paints like Sap Green, Burnt Sienna and Bt. Umber in this set. These are small tubes 8 ml and not worth the price tag!!

Expensive, but happy I made the purchase.
Beautiful palette colours, and heavily pigmented.

Nice set
This is a really nice convenience set its a more opaque watercolor since it's mixed with a grey but supervision watercolors have always been really good and these are no different. It makes a nice gradient and you get almost a nice contrast shadow effect.
