Here's a secret to life that I've learned: If you want the best trashcan, go with SimpleHuman. Some would refer to this as a #lifehack. Yes, you will pay more than the majority of other brands, but you're going to introduce something into your home that will last many years, bring function into your daily routine and space, and look beautiful while doing it. 'Ive found this to be the perfect small open profile trashcan. For my purpose, I intended to use under my vanity in the master bath. This open profile can is ideal for this particular space as the area is small. It fits under the cabinet and allows enough room to share the area with the vanity chair. Open profile cans in general are ideal for a space that requires quick access and for disposal of trash that isn't odorous or unsightly. Since I mostly just dispose of makeup wipes and toiletry packaging in this area, the design of this can works perfectly for this need. Tip: If you're a pet owner, consider what you'll be using this for prior to buying it. It works in my case because the contents are all composed of items my dog doesn't feel the need to explore. (I have the lidded versions next to each of the toilets in my house, mostly because my dog has developed a taste for used feminine hygeine products-Yuck!) The custom liner (these are too nice to be called "trash bags" Lol) is concealed by the overlay top. On the front side of the bin, there's a little loop that's used to pull a small section of the liner through. This helps to prevent air from getting trapped into the can. The can can be positioned from either orientation: Front or side, both look good. You can actually store the small container of trash bags inside the can, in between the internal liner and the base. That way, you'll never need to search for bags! The stainless steel material is fingerprint resistant. Unlike previous versions (I've owner older models), this hybrid steel is made of a special polymer that resists marks created by the oils on finger-pads. Of course, this doesn't mean that it's "everything-proof." It still gets smudges and shows debri, but the cool thing is that it's super easy to clean off. Just use a damp rag or paper towel to wipe and then buff it with a dry version. I've found that stainless steel cleaner works well too, so I use it probably once a month as a protectant. Any more frequent use tends to create a product residue that dulls the natural luster and it will attract dust.

This is the perfect bathroom, bedroom or small office trashcan. For the price, it is super sturdy and looks...almost...elegant. The stainless steel finish looks sharp, and because of the design of the top rim, it hides the edge of the grocery bag, so you can re-use plastic bags with this and not have it look ugly. Or, if you're not putting anything gross in there, the included hard plastic inner bin can easily be taken out and emptied. I like this better than the ones with the lid, which always seems to hit the wall or be a hassle, and also doesn't have a rim that hides the edge of the grocery bag. If you're totally OCD, the stainless steel finish is a bit of a fingerprint magnet, but wipes clean easily. Overall, I'm really happy and will probably get more for other rooms in the house.

I like the look of this item. I have it in my vintage bath, but I feel it could "go" anywhere. I would consider another one for a bedroom if I wanted to spend the money. I do feel that the price is mostly based on the brand name, however. I wish the price were lower. I think it COULD be lower. I have no evidence that this item is hand-crafted or even made in the USA...nothing to warrant the price tag. If you have a "thing" about symmetry like I kinda do, be aware that the top, black plastic section is not symmetrical. One side has about a 1" border, the other has about 2.5" sloped inward. I am not sure why. I think that is unnecessary and just provides a ledge for dust/fuzz to gather. Also, there is a very evident seam from top to bottom on one of the narrow ends. I aim to use the (free) plastic grocery bags as liners. Sometimes they work, sometimes they fall in. My can arrived with a tiny ping where it must have banged against something in shipping, but as it was in the lower corner and this is a bathroom trash can, I wasn't upset about it. My kitten gives it a very good rating, as he decided this was meant as a sleeping-box for him. It's sturdy enough that it didn't tip over while he was using it as a bed, so that's a plus. I don't know if it's the shape of the can itself or of the top, but my Pug has not tried to bury his face in it, either. So that's another plus. It does not fit in that narrow space between my toilet and my wall, but I have an old house, so I knew it fitting was a gamble, no deduction due to that. Reasons for not giving it 5 stars: Expensive for what you get, bag holding system sucks, top is weirdly asymmetrical for no reason, large seam runs down one of the narrow sides, meaning you must place it with that side to the back always, and taking the top off to empty it is awkward and often results in tipping the can or spilling the trash...but that might just be me!

a great bathroom wastebasket the size is decent, but small enough to fit into some nook the trashcan liners are easy to change the trashcan itself is not too heavy, considering it's metal, so it's not too difficult to manipulate essentially, it does what it's supposed to do

While the trashcan has a very big seam on the back of it. You can put it up against the wall and you won’t see it, The overall appearances gorgeous. The inside liner is a great touch of convenience. Recommend.

I bought mine from Amazon Warehouse. Has a little dent but I made it face the wall so it’s not even noticeable. Utility wise, hands down, the best trash can I ever had. In fact, Because plastic bags from grocery stores no longer exist, I use recycled paperbags on this and they still work great because it has a separate container inside that you remove when you throw your trash. If you don’t mind frequent washing of the inner container, you wouldn’t even need a bag. If you do place a bag, the design is so great it’s actually concealed. So neat

I’ve put this on the worktop in my small kitchen to use for clean recycling, and it’s a very good fit for the space and saves me time compared to taking the items out individually. The build quality is very good with its stainless-steel looking case with a plastic inner bin. There’s a top section that needs pulling off to empty the inner bin which adds to the aesthetic and is worth having. Having the inner bin is more hygienic than taking the whole bin outside to empty and is worth the extra complexity. As I’ve got it on my worktop the bottom could do with some soft pads to reduce any scratching but it’s not really a problem. I think it looks slightly industrial and might be nicer in a matt white or another colour. A darker patch has been left where I peeled the label off but that isn’t too obvious. Overall, I’m very pleased with it.

I love this product. My old under-the-sink garbage pail was round and did not make use of the space we had. In our newly-renovated kitchen I ordered the above pail and it is absolutely perfect. Fits well and looks great. Very easy to keep clean and remove the full bags. I am one "happy Amazon customer".

Looks fabulous in our kitchen and not too large. Ideal for the amount of rubbish we generate but do need to empty 2nd daily. Glad we got this elegant bin

Schliphumiann c'est vraiment le design de la poubelle à l'état pur... le designer de chez chimplowmahn je trouve que c'est un peu le Ennio Morricone de la poubelle... et oui carrément!! Seul petit bémol le nom de cette société imprononçable... alors comme je n'arrive pas à le prononcer je renvoie la poubelle mais bon j'en recommanderais une autre après....
